I hope it works out for him. He did not have the best of things while he was in Cleveland.

If I had what he had walking beside me, I think I would just forget about that football thing. I do wish him luck but man I just don't know.

He might try the Atlanta Falcons. I think they might need a quarterback very soon. Michael Vick's days are numbered.

Do you think if he doesn't get any offers what so ever that Cleveland would sign him? At least they would have a better offensive line for him now.

She used to go to the Harbor Inn quite a bit. One of my friends tried to pick her up one night. It was quite funny watching him get shot down.

i was floored when i read that he was 245 at 5% body fat. that's amazing.
i really hope he does well. he really was thrown to the wolves when he was in cleveland. i always wondered how he would have done had he just sat until he was ready.

Timothy Scott Couch had a rough going out as the Browns quarterback. But he was never the same in a loss to Baltimore on ESPN Sunday Night Football when he was rudely cheered by Browns fans when he was injured in the loss.
I don't feel bad for Cleveland but being a Steelers fan, it sickened my heart and soul to see that happen to the all-time passing leader in Kentucky high school history (played at Leslie County High School). I mean goodness gracious...he has a family...a wife and a three-year-old son! No son or wife let alone mother, father, or in-laws deserve to see one of their own cheered when they are hurt.
I hope Couch makes the most of his second chance if he gets one.

Cheering a hurt player, especially your own, is pretty low. But Keno, since you singled out the Browns fans, I have this passage for you. It's from Terry Bradshaw's 1973 book, "No Easy Game."
"I always wanted everyone to like me. I wanted the city of Pittsburgh to be proud of me. But my first few seasons, I could to count the number of people on my bandwagon on one finger. I had people call me a dummy and a hick. I had a lady stop me outside the stadium and tell me I stunk. I heard the people cheer when I got hurt. Rub up against enough briar patches and your hide will get pretty tough. Mine did."
Eagles fans booed and pelted Santa Claus with snowballs in 1968. In 1999 they cheered while Michael Irvin was motionless (from Fox Sports):
"During this notorious game between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas star wide receiver Michael Irvin lay motionless on the artificial turf for nearly 20 minutes after awkwardly landing on his head after catching a pass from quarterback Troy Aikman. While the medical staff attended to the fallen player, many of the 65,000 plus Philadelphia fans on hand cheered both when they first realized that Irvin was injured and again when paramedics wheeled a stretcher onto the field."
The actions of some Penn State fans against the OSU band in 2005 was well documented (from rivals.com).
"The threat of physical violence, people standing on hood of my car, mud balls being thrown," Mohr said of the environment before the game. OSU band director Dr. Jon Woods says the band's march towards the stadium got physical. "I saw a fan pushing their way into the ranks of the band, which is frightening," Dr. Woods said. His feelings are echoed all across online message boards where Buckeyes say attending Saturday's game was the worst experience they ever had. One Ohio State band member posted a message saying someone urinated into a bottle and threw the bottle at the band. That is in addition to grabbing, punching, and yelling of profanities the band endured. Dr. Woods says the conduct definitely crossed the line."This was without a doubt the most hostile environment that I've ever experienced at a college football game," the 21-year veteran director told 10TV."
Keno, as you can see others, including Steelers fans, are not exempt from this type of behavior. But don't indict an entire fanbase for the actions of a few.

longtimefirsttime,
You remind me of a Yappi moderator whom I have great respect for. I have to admit Steelers fans have done their share of cheering when they have knocked an opposing player out of the game.
That's not to say I have done that. Yes, I stick by my belief in physical, bone-breaking play and have no intention of deviating from that approach.
There are some good-natured Browns fans, just like there are good-natured fans in all levels (midget league, high school, college, pro...you get the message). The actions of a few will not overshadow the ones who behave positively.

You are friends with yappi moderators? Well, can you do me a favor and tell them to take me of Double Secret Probation Moderated status? I think 2 months is quite enough for me to have learned my lesson!! LOL

CarlE,
I'm friends with one and I have known him for eight years, going back to my junior year in high school. Even though he has been one of my biggest critics during my two years as a writer for Yappi (and with good reason), I have a great deal of respect for him through his sports expertise.
I don't know if I could get you off of moderated status...that's a daunting task there. We'll have to see depending on who the mods are.

before someone starts whining about his pay...let me say this "darn...i'll take that much cash..."
in actuality, there is no man that is worth multiple millions of dollars yearly...don't care how talented they may be...
their greed is the reason that i will probably never see another pro game of any sort other than on tv...the average american family can't afford to take the gang to the ballpark more than once every couple of years...
i am botherd by these unproven rookies who are holding out for major bucks...how many in recent years got hurt within a short while, or proved to be not good at the pro level???...yet still cost the teams mucho dineros...example: kellen winslow...
i think you should EARN the money at this level...rather than what you were in college...

I don't agree, shortbev. In every other job, just like that of a pro athlete, a person, or representative, negotiates with management what they will be paid and then works themselves up the ladder. Well, except freaking union jobs that pay the job no matter what your lack of production and/or motivation based on the fact you'll get paid the same no matter what you do. (Paid for by the KaleyE for President Campaign, 2048). And some of the blame should be going to the owner willing to pay someone whatever they do without knowing what they are getting and making them earn it.

So I would assume it will be Leftwich as the starter and give Couch a chance to battle with Garard for the backup role. They have 2 other QB's in camp. Ricard is an undrafted rookie free agent. Quinn Gray was third string last year.

I believe that Gray has been hurt. It will be interesting to see if he beats out Garard and how he does overall.

That would be Garrard.
And on TSC (Tim Couch), I hope he makes the most of this chance. I know even I ridiculed him hard as a Steelers fan but every person deserves a second chance.
