I have said for a long time that The Tiger program by far has more class than most in Ohio. Another example came to light recently.

Tiger head coach Tom Stacy changed the location of the August scrimmage between your Tigers and our Little Giants to Fremonts Don Paul Stadium even though it was scheduled to be played at PBTS. Coach Stacy did so at the request of the folks in charge in Fremont. Why? Because like so many other districts in Ohio, the Fremont City Schools are facing a financial crisis and the extra money for the long trip just wasn't there. He could have said no way, but instead your coach showed true Massillon class and decided to help out and allow the scrimmage to be played at The Don for the second year in a row.

We've had three tax issues fail in the last year. There is hope as the May request for an income tax increase failed by less that 50 votes out of some 7,500 cast. We are confident it will pass in November, but until then things are tight. So thanks to your fine coach and the TRUE CLASS AND SPORTSMANSHIP he exhibits we have one less expense to worry about until then.

GO TIGERS!
Lets GO Little Giants!

It is a very nice gesture by Coach Stacy and the Tiger program to accept this request.

Last year's scrimmage was a lot of fun, but this year, I won't be able to make it. I'll be in SoCal that week, and likely that night, will watch the Dodgers at Chavez Ravine.

Have ALWAYS loved the Little Giants and their fans. We've always been treated well by the Fremont fans, and it's a road trip we always looked forward to.

I hope that your town overcomes the financial difficulties that you are now experiencing with the school system.

Good luck in the 2007 season !!

I will agree to all of that; and hope we can play in the regular season sometime in the future. :weightlift:

Fremont fans have treated us well and there's a mutual respect there. It's been good to see the Little Giants playing well again.

I remember the playoff game when they had us at the 2 yard line and they used Woodson as a decoy, then rolled out to the right side to see if the QB could throw into a 2 sq ft window.... Man, talk about a sigh of relief.. I think it was Matt Robinson picking it off... Woodson ran nuts all night on us, great game though

 Don't remind us.

That is still one of the most exciting games I have ever been to.
