"For the second year in a row, the Massillon Tigers will have a player up for consideration to be in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio. On Thursday, DeVoe Torrence was presented with a nomination to be one of the 80 players from across the country chosen for the all-star game, which will be played on Jan. 5 and televised nationally on NBC."

He may have to make a decision. The ESPN High school all star game is scheduled for Jan. 5th also. It's going to be played at Walt Disney Worlds sports complex in Kissimee Fl., and it will be televised on ABC.

I know the Army game is a great honor, but ESPN has had some great athletes agree to play in their forst annual all star game too.

Congrats to Devoe and its almost time to show what he can do this year.
GO TIGERS!

BTW---The kids should not have to make a decision! No way that both all star games should be played on the same day. Shame on ESPN and the Army for scheduling so poorly! Even if the kids chose to play in one and not the other why schedule to where they have a watered down audience because they are stupid in marketing events.

ESPN wants it's All-Star game to compete directly with the Army game because it wants to push the Army game out of the way...that's the reason they are on the same day.

Monte! I'm not sure any of the players would play in both games due to all of the time it requires, and considering the opportunity for injury so close to signing day, but there's definately plenty of talent to go around.
Both games will showcase some of the best HS football players in the country and the experiences afforded the players will be memorable.
I do agree that the games should start at different times so fans can watch them on both. I'm not so sure that's not already the case.
