My thoughts and prayers are with the Endlich family as they deal with the tragedy of losing their loved one Cory.
Cory and Kevin were in the band when I freshman and I can remember all of the completely outrageous stories and pranks they would pull on people... no matter how hard it got.. Cory kept going with a smile on his face...He was proud to serve his country and died doing what he loved..

You will never be forgotten Cory.. your legacy will live on through your family and friends who have been lucky enough to know you..God Bless

My heart and prayers go out to the family of our fallen hero. It really
grips you extra hard when it is a soldier from your own hometown.

May God give peace and comfort in this time of grieving and
strength in the days ahead.

My condolences and deepest respect to the Endlich family. I know it sounds like a cliche, but their son has made the ultimate sacrifice, to die for his country and he died a hero.

If anyone hears or sees news of when Cory's funeral will be, please post it. All Massillonians should be lining the streets for the funeral procession to pay their respects to this man and his family...

My heart goes out to the family and friends of Cory; may God's grace help ease the pain of losing a loved one. No matter what the outcome of this war turns out to be, his life and sacrifice is not in vain because of the lives he has forever touched.

"Endlich’s body arrived in Dover, Del., on Monday, and will be brought back to Massillon for burial by the end of the week, Randy Endlich said.

Plans are still pending. The funeral will take place in the Washington High auditorium. Interment will be at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens."

This is SO sad......

Did you see the photos in the Inde again today? How about the crying Tiger on the editorial page. My eyes teared up when I saw that....

What a really good looking kid he was.

I am so sorry for his parents, family and friends...

All of Massillon is greiving again for one of our hometown sons.

Everyone SHOULD be out with flags along LWE during the funeral procession. I really hope they decide to do that so everyone here can say our thank yous and our good byes.

God Bless The Endlich Family.:usflag:

It was tough to watch the photo of him next to his Massillon Tiger Swing Band gear. My condolences to his family and those who knew him.

If you have never attended a soldiers funeral, I strongly recommed you attend. My son and I attended the funeral of Jesse Buyji. We didn't know him or his family, but wanted to show our support. It was one of the hardest things that I've ever been too. My son was six at the time and he still talks of Jesse as if they were friends. There becomes some type of bond between those who attend and the soldier. Its something that you'll never forget.

On Memorial Day 1955 I was in an Honor Guard at The U.S. Military Cemetery outside Florence Italy. I will never forget the rows and rows of white crosses and stars of david that seemed to go on forever. The conclusion of the ceremony was the playing of Taps. The echo came back from a high cliff several miles away. I still tear up everytime I hear that sound at any military funeral. May he rest in peace!

Thats a really nice picture and yet a sad one. Also a sad thing is there is only one place in the entire city that I have seen with their US Flag Half Staff. A Wal-Mart Manager refused to lower theirs even after I showed him the newspaper as proof. Is it a fact that people are just too lazy to lower them?

Some people are just insensitive or just don't read the papers or listen to the news I guess.

I agree MassillonMom. This makes me furious and apaulled of the fact that people cant do this for someone who gave his life for us to enjoy the freedoms that we have. Perhaps a boycot is in order of all Massillon Businesses that dont lower their flags.
