View Full Version : It Felt Like a Family Reunion!!!

Returning to our reserved seats at the first game felt just like returning to a yearly family reunion.

That little baby boy who was held by his parents two rows in front of us last year is now a cute toddler waving and watching the band....

The two female friends behind us are rooting for KJ all the way...

The "hellos" and "how are you's" resound in the air all around us and sadly...

a few seats are left empty belonging to past Tiger fans now no longer able to make it to the games...

Twenty years of attending Tiger games and it always feels the same.

To keep our enrollment up we need some more busy folks.

I believe some longtime, (over 25 year), season ticket holders that sat in front of me, unfortunately are not in good enough health to attend this year.

How sad. Hopefully, they can still listen on the radio !

Those steep stadium steps are getting harder and harder to climb for some of our elderly fans. It's really a shame.

I have 2 elderly ladies that I've known for years. Every year I GIVE them 2 of my 11 season tickets, as they are huge Tiger fans. A couple of years ago, I had to get lower seats, to make the evening less torturous for them.

However, they still show up at PBTS every week, ( the away games are too much strain), and cheer on the TIGERS !!!:gogogo:

Yes I sit up high and that climb will one day be very tough. This is my 25th year of attending Tiger games and I've been fortunate enough to still sit in the same seats.

I won't start the rumor mill, but I have heard one about escalators at the stadium.

It actually was a family reunion where I sit.

And, my 86 year-old mom is still able to come and get to her seat and just has a blast!!!

It did seem to me that there were more chairs on the handicap ramp than before. Just goes to prove what very loyal fans we have.

Young and old -- healthy and impaired -- they come to see their beloved Tigers!!

And to think one of those people on the handicap ramp is a Mck. grad/fan who now attends most of the Massillon home games. And no, the person is not a mole for the Bulldogs. He is a really good guy I got to know(serves as a volunteer) in the hospital(Timken Medical Center) after I had my stroke 2-1/2 years ago. BB, if you're reading this thread, thanks, you're a class act.

I attended the scrimmage at Fremont Ross and they have an elevator on one end of their home side grandstand for people with disabilities,so,no,the idea isn't far-fetched at all.
