Can anybody tell me anything about Daniels besides his new QB coach will be Ben McDaniels who won State Championships at McKinley in both 1997 & 1998?

Let me tell you my frustration. 99% of the people on here know 99% if the people. Those are the ones that are always upfront, and call a spade a spade, or a diamond a diamond in case anybody took the spade thing and was going to call Al Sharpton. I think all moderators know me, as do the majority of the posters. I am always upfront and whether you agree or not I ALWAYS stand by what I've said. THEN there are the others. And the feud ends. Hope you had a great one, too LLRose. Mine consisted of three adults and four, yes FOUR boys playing golf in one group. Our course is not busy right now because of fixing some greens so we were almost the only ones out there for a 6 hour round.

Anyway, back to subject. It's amazing how McKinley fans can position players that have come to them this off season compared to those that are now in the Tiger fold.

Here's the breakdown on Danials,

Great athlete with a very bad attitude. Does not take to coaching and challenges authority on a daily dasis. Comes from a good family and an athletic family but seems to be the bad apple out of the bunch. Would do stupid things and pout. Once in a freshman game, refused to snap up his helmet on an extra point try when he was holding. They got penalized, had to re-kick. Again refused to snap it up on the next one and got flagged again. When pulled out of the game for the next extra point, he threw a fit and didnt want to talk to the coaches about it. Even said that the coaches were "racist". Trust me, it is not that big of a pickup for McK. The writing was on the wall for him at QB at GlenOak with Justin being their started. Does have some tools athletically, but is truly a head case. Could be a talented receiver in my books if he gets his head on straight, but cannot be a QB for Massillon or Mck and lead them to the playoffs. My opinion.

ps, Danials isnt homegrown in canton, I hope that was tongue in cheek. The family moved to GlenOak when he was a 7th or 8th grader from Perry, where he went to school from k-6.

I've never participated in a forum before but I was made aware of this topic and felt a need to respond. I know Stefan. Great kid. Great parents. Great family. I will say upfront that I am biased in favor of the young man. He was my paper boy for almost 2 years. That's the only time I'd get my paper BEFORE my morning coffee. Love the kid for that. He has good manners, smart, polite, helpful and considerate. The negative comments are a surprise to me. Stef has been a 3 sport standout since I've known him.

I've been to a number of his games and the fact that he was the varsity backup last year didn't make much sense. Glenoak simply couldn't throw the ball and the QB practically got receivers killed. At the St. Ignatius scrimmage, I believe Stef was the only one that got into the end zone (on a QB bootleg-about 50yds). Nothing stood out about the other 2 QBs.

Just an FYI: I'd say Stef threw 9 or 10 TD passes and maybe 2-3 int's in JV play. To say Stef is a head case is about as untrue as it gets and the idea that he couldn't QB McK to the playoffs seems to be something only a Glenoak person or a person with GO ties would say.

I spoke to his parents over 2 months ago and they told me of the transfer. They said GO wasn't a "good fit" for him. They were being diplomatic, no doubt. You'd think the GO folks would have the good sense to do the same.

Also, Stef did come from Canton City Schools. He never attended Perry Schools.

People have a reputation of judging others until they really get to know them and their intentions. I hate that more than anything and there are some judgmental fans out there...I won't get into it on here or anywhere else but I've heard worse in my time.

People get paid to be some real heated, egotistical, loaded, locked, inconsistent, sardonic, hopeless fans at times.

I'd rather spend the rest of my life burning in Heated, embittered, live, land before I'd be with any fan base that has fans who are judgmental and quick to jump to conclusions quicker than a .357 Magnum can go off.

I remember talking with some of my CCC buddies about George Tabron (ILB) transfering from CCC to McKinley last year. They said he wasn't that good, said he was overrated. I figured he wouldn't be that good - then we got to the Mass/Mck game and we COULD NOT touch the kid. He was an animal. Now he's going to Ball State. Therefore, I will make no comments on this QB transfer, in hopes that I don't jinx it, lol.

Just a quick tidbit about Carl - I, too, have had feuds with him (pretty heated) in the past, but while on a personal journey with myself in my continued attempts to grow as an individual, I have to admire his honest opinion and how he stands by what he says. My opinion of him has changed and I understand his love for the Tigers. He may be an "in-your-face" type of person but what you see is what you get. :hug:

Of course GO wasnt the right fit....he wasnt going to start at QB. If saying he didnt had problems and wasnt a head case at lower levels is false. Instead of being an outsider and a "friend of the family", why dont you ask his coaches from GlenOak at those levels. Hey, I said he came from a great family, his brother is a great kid, but on the field "Stef" is/was about one person...himself. Now, I didnt see him last year and I hope he matured for his sake, but I was going on prior knowledge of the kid before last year. The only thing I could of been wrong about in the post was that he didnt go to Perry. That came from someone in the system there and i took their word for it. I made my statement that he wouldnt lead them to the playoffs and I stick to that. have him prove me wrong. i am not a GlenOak person nor do I have any GlenOak ties now. Kind of ironic that McKinley could have two starters in their backfield Stefan and Griffith who are their becasue they couldnt start at GlenOak.

He had a decent high school career. On the offensive side of the ball, he was nothing special in that game. He had 55 yards rushing, with 23 coming on one play. He was much more of a presence on defense, with 14 tackles. But the Tigers defense was HUGE in the second half and shut them totally down.

As far as this latest transfer, I know nothing about this player. So I can't really comment about it.

According to the REP, Andrew Gage will transfer from GO to McKinley to try to earn the starting kicking job. I guess he didn't think he could beat out his brother at GO. The article describes him as being "OK."
