obie7661,
Make no mistake about it: Cowher is set. And I hope he beats John Albert Elway!
Cowher will always be my hero for what he has done in making Dennis Miller's hometown proud on February 5, 2006!

Since Cowher has lowered his cholesterol,
maybe now he can lower the size of his chin.

"But actually Cowher's former charges in Pittsburgh would be surprised to learn how much mellower he is after five re-energizing months with wife Kaye and daughters Meagan, Lauren and Lindsay at their Raleigh, N.C., dream home."
Did Keno write that? All that's missing are the middle names.
I don't see a guy like Cowher being away from the sidelines for long.

longtimefirsttime,
I'll always be a Cowher fan! Do you know how many Steelers games I have taped?
I have taped
2003 Pittsburgh-St. Louis (1,000th game)
2004 Pittsburgh-New England game (October 31, 2004)
2004 Pittsburgh-Philadelphia game
2004 Pittsburgh-New York Jets AFC divisional playoff game
2005 Pittsburgh Steelers playoff run vs. Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Denver, Seattle
Super Bowl XXX and Super Bowl XL.
Road to Glory: The Story of the 2005 World Champion Pittsburgh Steelers
A total of 11. And I love when Cowher gets fiercely aggressive with the play calling in the heat of battle...especially in OT against a fading Jets team!!!

I'm still waiting to hear what other teams were in that Chuck Noll led Steelers locker room that he was comparing his team to as being the "best in the locker room".

Did you tape the one of him "locking Lips" with Kordell "Pickle Park" Stewart in Tampa?
Unfortunately we all got a first hand look that day at what Mrs Cowher has had to face when that "Jay Leno like" Jaw was headed her way! :gasp:

CarlE,
I watched the whole documentary on that Steelers team. He simply said that the best team in the locker room was his team...the Steelers right before their 1974 AFC championship win over Oakland.
No other team was in that room but the black and gold.
Anyway...I had a dream last night that O.J. Simpson got his bones broken by the Steelers. You won't know who broke his bones.........

"I'm staying very open-minded," Cowher said. "I never want to say never because that can come back and haunt you. But I can foresee not coming back ever. I just won't etch it in stone."
That's good, because Cowher figures to have his choice of jobs come January. If the Redskins don't rebound, coach Joe Gibbs could step aside at 67 with one year left on his contract. Speculation is that Browns coach Romeo Crennel and his New York Giants counterpart, Tom Coughlin, kept their jobs in part so their teams could join the Cowher hunt in 2008."

longtimefirsttime,
Nothing beats being a moderator of a Pittsburgh Steelers club...Pittsburgh Steelers All The Way, where I am the lead man!
Cowher will always be one of my favorite coaches no matter where he goes!
P.S. In my three years as moderator, I have banned only one person...a Browns fan. And I will not let anyone trash Cowher!!
