7th Grade History (L.A.) - Mrs. Hunt. GAWD what a hard-ass she was. But boy did you learn from her.
6th Grade - George Williams (L.A.) . I'll never forget Mr. Williams. He was such an influence. Great kids, also.
5th Grade - Mrs. Nolt (Gorrell) - Lived down the hill in Mayflower from me. She ALWAYS stopped to make sure I had my homework done because she saw me out playing. LOVED that woman.

I'll go with Mr Murphy, WHS 10th grade English. He didn't teach me shit about English, but taught me a boatload about life. He also taught me about myself, of which no one else ever did.
He was also a huge influence on my son. Mr Murphy retired during my son's sophomore year, but left a lasting impression on him.
I hope retirement treats him well !!

I'm going to say Mrs. Istnick. You could tell that she had a love for working with kids. There was always someone in her class before and after school getting extra help or just saying hello.
Mr. Peters, who was only there a short time, just had an amazing love of learning. There was always a stack of books beside his desk that he was reading. He loved to share war stories with us that he had been reading about in his reading. None of us could beat him in Trivial Pursuit either.
I never had Mr. Murphy but was involved in sports with his son. He was a great guy and my wife used to tell me all the funny stories he talked about in class.
I had Mr. C. (I won't even attempt to spell his Polish name) when I attended Richville in elementary school in 4th and 5th grade. He and his wife never had kids but he treated everyone in his class like his own. You also can't get kids any more interested in learning fractions than to give each child his/her own Hershey's candy bar. He would come out to the playground and play basketball with us. What an amazing guy!

4th Grade, Mrs. Hudson
5th Grade, Mr Guertal
and the one that probably made the biggest impact on me was..
12th grade, WHS, Mrs "Senora" Wilson. Probably the only reason I went to college & graduated high school on time. She brought my interest in school and learning back after it had been destroyed by Perry.
My worst ones...
Sister mary ann, 3rd grade. (St. Mary's)
Mrs Tanner, guidance person 6th-7th grade
and the worst person to ever be in a school position in my mind...
Mr. Mark Dean, Perry. This man is the scum of the earth in my mind, and by his son "Brad Dean" actions at R.G. Drage I think he was all around bad with children.

I hope you mean she tried to help kids as a City Council person too, because that is the only way I know of that this would be a true statement.:unclesam:

Mrs. Beane in 2nd grade at Gorrell Elementary. She taught me to write in cursive. Also, Mr. Tribbett in 6th grade, something about a male teacher that makes you listen more, plus he coached us in flag football.
At Lorin Andrews, my most influential teachers were Butch Hose and Mr. Fogle. Butch taught me alot about football and basketball, and some Geography!LOL Actually, it wasn't the geography that he taught, it was the method of learning something. He always had an acronym or something to remind you of something as a way to learn. I still use it today. Mr. Fogle was my Algebra and Trigonometry teacher, and he also expanded my mind.
The only person who influenced me at WHS was the cooks in the kitchen! LOL!!
