Well see what Roy Jones still has left. Roy is still the same ol' Roy...coming late to press conferences as he always has but I like the man.

I still will always love him for his KO 1 he put on Montell Griffin......the fact that one of Roy's fight rappers told off Larry Merchant after the fight was priceless in the form of "first of all, don't be stupid. Second of all, you all sound whack to me. And third, IDGAF (I Don't Give A [you know]) who told you what...Roy Jones is the champion! Give him the respect he demands! Don't be stupid (---k all ya'll)!" He got tired of people disrespecting Jones. What can I say?

Merchant had it coming for the times he disrespected Jones.

I wish I was one of Jones' guys.........I'd let some words fly if someone disrespected Jones. I wouldn't cuss at them but they would get the message.

And just for the record......Jones is a longtime Pittsburgh Steelers fan!

Keno! It's a good thing Jones "Fight Rapper" didn't call Merchant a nappy headed ho. That would have been so much worse then all of the other words that you seem to condone as being "priceless" that were more than likely heard by thousands of kids and women all over the world!
Nice.

The fight rapper's rapper name was "Westside" by the way. He wouldn't have called Merchant that, he'd have called him something worse. I know...I'm a lifelong Roy Jones fan. And I can identify well with black rappers.

Huh? :stars:

I'm pretty sure I was implying that what he said WAS MUCH WORSE then what I suggested.
Ya know, I'm begining to think we speak a different language! :scratchchin:

TigerswillbeTigers,

I'm the last person you want to get in a square ring with  . Anytime someone can tell someone "First of all, don't be stupid. Second of all, you all sound whack to me, and third, IDGAF who told you what! Roy Jones is the champion, give him the respect he demands. Don't be stupid. ***k all ya'll!" Merchant was stunned as was expected.

Forceful message from a man who is directly, awesome, royal, noted, excellent, locked, loaded, tremendous, worthy, intimidating, lucid, lurid, intense, avaricious, mighty, spoken.

Let me ask you a question and it's a serious question: A peak Roy Jones (1997-2004) vs. a peak Mike Tyson (1986-1990). Who wins and why? I'll tell you my pick: Jones. All he has to do is keep the fight an outside fight as he has always done throughout his career and he will walk to a decision win over Tyson. The only way Tyson wins is if he can force Jones to the ropes and land his vaunted power punches.

When Tyson was in his prime nobody, not even Carl Lewis, could have ran for 15 rounds! Jones would get killed in less than 3 rounds because a Mike Tyson in peak mental and physical condition would of walked right thru Roy Jones JR.
BTW! When I say peak "mental" condition I mean Mikes NASTY KILLER INSTINCTS, not his intellectual ones! LoL

LOL! I know, but I'll tell ya what. Sitting here going through bills, filling out booku forms for my daughter's college, and looking everywhere for any possible denaro to fund it with, I truely welcome the momentary relief of stress when I find myself laughing out loud:laughing:

Reading Keno's posts is kinda like that famous line from Forrest Gump, "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get" !

TigerswillbeTigers,

Michael Gerard Tyson would have faded late against Jones. If MGT didn't get Jones out within the first seven rounds...Jones walks to a decision if he stays on the outside.

Kamd50,

I follow my father's footsteps when it comes to boxing. So I know the fight game and the fight business. You know...if I were one of Roy's fight rappers, I'd have probably told Roy's harshest critics they can all RABIH.....but I'm not a mean person towards anyone.

By the way, RABIH stands for "Rot And Burn In H___."

There was FAIAP (fye-ap), then FAIAPS (fye-aps), now there is RABIH (rob-ee).
