Lets see, it's a sandwich game between Homecoming and a trip to Happy Valley, a rebuilding year where the Wolverines will need to replace the likes of Henne, Hart, Crable, Arrington and more than likely Manningham to name a few from their 2007 team, and I might be able to get 28?
I'll take Toledo and the 28 for a bunch!

For sure LIFT!! UT plays Purdue this season, UM in 2008 and OSU in 2009. Darion , Scassa, and the rest of the Stark players at UT better strap it up and get ready for some big time football games. I hope by the time those UM and OSU games come around we will see around 7 Stark COunty players on the field playing at the same time.
DAWG---I will also take the 28 points!!
TWBT--- Arrington is already off the team for off the field problems according to UM website.

You may be right!LOL However if Darion going to UT, Shawn graduating, and a few kids on the roster I am pulling for to make it through college means I'm riding with the rockets the next 4/5 years.:gogogo:

That's funny....the ESPN coaches poll shows Nebraska as the National Champion in 1997.
Come on, Keno. You know the real number since 1950...

Unless it's a shared national title. Would you please list all of Michigan's national championships and denote which years they won it when the forward pass was legal?

MTown,
I'd be glad to. Michigan's titles were in 1901, 1902, 1903, 1904, 1918, 1923, 1932, 1933, 1947, 1948, 1997.
The championships won when the forward pass was legal were after 1904...making their first one at 1918.

Rockets to Play at Michigan in 2008
First Meeting Ever in Football Between the Two Schools
May 22, 2007
Toledo, OH - The University of Toledo football team will play a game at the University of Michigan on Oct. 11, 2008 in the first-ever meeting between the two schools, representatives from both schools announced today.
"This is a great opportunity for our football program," said UT Athletic Director Mike O'Brien. "Any time you have a chance to play in Michigan Stadium before 110,000 fans, you have to take it. I think it is a game that our fans, as well as our football program, are very excited to have on the schedule. " Michigan averaged 110,026 fans per game in 2006, the ninth-straight season and 32nd out of the last 33 years the Wolverines have led the NCAA in attendance.
Said UT head football coach Tom Amstutz, "This is a great opportunity to play one of the nation's powerhouses in the largest football stadium in the country. Our players will be very excited to play in Michigan Stadium."
The Michigan game is the latest in a string of high-profile matches for the Rocket football program. In the next six years Toledo will also play Ohio State (twice), Purdue (three times), Arizona (three times), Boise State (twice), Kansas, Iowa State, Fresno State and Syracuse. Five of those games will be in the Glass Bowl, while one of the Ohio State games will be at Cleveland Browns Stadium with Toledo serving as the home team.
With the contest vs. Michigan in 2008, Toledo will have played every Big Ten school except Iowa, Illinois and Northwestern. Toledo has a 4-11 all-time record against schools from the Big Ten, including a 3-3 mark since 1997.

Kamd50,
I can't wait to see the Michigan-Toledo game! I know Ball State played Michigan tough last year...but the Wolverines wore them down and put them away when it counted.
GO BLUE!

No it is not. We gave that crap town to Michigan right after the waterfront district went bankrupt and they called Donald Trump no less to see if he was interested in investing in it to save it from foreclosure. What a dump.

Talking to Darion and the rest of the 2007 recruiting class of UT they are pumped at the chance to suit up and play against some of the best talent in the country.
BTW----many UT recruits the past few years had big Ten Schollies but only could take the Prop 48 deal at UT. Morgan Williams, Disi Alexander, and Hoshea Simpson were all All-Ohio and recruited by many powerhouse schools. It may be that UT is building alittle more talent up there than many people think.
GO ROCKETS!!
