Now we'll see if my guys have it right or not!

As a general note (and directed at no one in particular), would it not be better if we didn't publically share any inside info that we may have about the program? I realize that we are all (myself included) curious about the backroom mechanations, and this "informed conjecture" is admittedly interesting, but it's hard to see how it's of any benefit to the greater good. The truth will out soon enough.

You're right again OW!

Two things occured to me prior to my post.
1. I thought it was possible that MC's information was being doubted so I offered what I knew.
2. The time set aside in tonights meeting to address Stacy's staff has more than likely already passed and I thought the MP.com family would be as interested as the McDonalds family!

this is getting carried away. Hack hasnt agreed to anything nor has he even decided where he will be next year. Someone gave out some very incorrect information to start this thread. Not saying it couldnt happen....but isnt near that point yet. Heck he could even end up at Massillon West.

Thanks for the endosement!! I am currently in the process of getting an evaluation to get my teaching certification from military Troops to Teachers so we will see what has to happen for me to get it done. I have not decided on what my future plans are as of yet but I love my current job but also would love to be in tigertown. If I was teaching in the system I would volunteer to coach at any level.:rockin:

However---if Hack takes the position or coaches somewhere else(Massillon West) that program is getting a firey coach who has passion for kids to excel.

The Massillon west scenario sounds more like wishful thinking by someone from there, then the proposed scenario where Hack would come to the only MASSILLON for a year as a volunteer assistant with aspirations of bigger things with the Orange and Black!
But hey, maybe we're all wrong and "Massillon west" has a boat load of cash and incentitives to throw at him!

Sorry cracker, I just don't see any value in your previous post and to many it appears to be self serving.

crackerman
05-24-2007, 11:11 AM
not at all. Hey, maybe MCS will yet again drop the ball and let another one go west. Wishful thinking??? sure. Could it happen?? very easily. Its not about a boat load of money...its about being able to offer a teaching job..right here...right now, and do you take what is in front of you, or wait and hope? When you have a family, you have to do what is best for them...that means landing a good paying job. Maybe you should ask Hack if it is a possibility. Oh wait, you believe that he is already locked in to be a volunteer coach when he hasnt even been offered a teaching job in the district yet. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.

TigerswillbeTigers
05-24-2007, 11:22 AM
You may very well be correct my friend, but I would be surprised if Mr and Mrs Hack didn't take every scenario into consideration prior to moving back to the area, and I may be wrong, but I believe being at MASSILLON as a coach, and ultimately as a teacher, was a huge part of their decision. Not knowing them or their situation personally, I can only go by the words expressed on MP.com by Hack regarding his desires, and the flexibility they have due to the fact that his wife has secured a very good job in N.E. Ohio, Mogadore I believe!
Either way, I hope he gets an opportunity to do what he desires, and they both enjoy their career changes and their return to N.E. Ohio immenseley

Give Massillon some credit. They are definately heading in the right direction with the new hires, new additions and upgrades, and team personnel.

It may not seem like much, but it does say a little something that Hack was able to at least attain substitue teaching positions in MCS so soon after his arrival here. I would hope that his friends and alumni would be pulling for him to attain what he came back here to do.

That is reassuring to hear Cracker:thumbsup: Perhaps because of initial obstacles,it has taken just a little time for things to happen as Stacy had envisioned. It may partially be just a matter of being in the right place at the right time for things to start to fall into place. And hopefully, Massillon has seen the error of its ways in this regard, and this is only the beginning for more- of- the -same type of acquisitions in the future:wink: Afterall, once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

well lets see...make the commute (basically pay the gas) and have a paid teaching and paid coaching job or not have a teaching job and be a volunteer coach?...hmmm. Not hard to figure out on my end. If he gets a teaching job in Massillon I understand being a volunteer coach but if no teaching job is there, it makes no sense. Plus....can you really put a price on coaching with your best friend? As I said before, I would love to see him be a Tiger, but if it doesnt work out then it is what it is. I do find it ironic and a great thing that this is on the site, so people can see that A true diehard alum is back and trying to gain employment to work with our kids and see if MCS can come through. There are alums that some people dont like for one reason or another. I think everyone is in agreement that Hack would be great for Masssillon schools and Massillon football and everyone likes him. We will see how it plays out. This is just for hitman Hitman..., as long as he doesnt make a commitment to one place then back out a month later, I am sure he will be making the right choice.

MTigers006

Crackerman, I agree with you 100% its great to have Hack back and to have him on the side. On the sidelines wearing orange and black again and coaching our kids would be a very great and valuable asset to this team and community. I can only hope someday a certain coach from Lexington High can return home where he belongs also. I think its great for alum to come back and coach the Tigers. It only seems right and destined as it should be. Once a Tiger, Always a Tiger. Someone made a comment about heart. We had heart last year, but not nearly the heart we should have as magnificently displayed in the run to the state title game in 2005 that I still get emotional thinking about and thinking about how close we came. Yes we lost that game, but we are still respected to this day for what we achived that year. We should always try to match that performance or out do it god willing. I know that we have not seen the last alum come back to coach here and hopefully there will be more in the near future and the start of a new tradition here. I know in my heart and soul that the best is yet to come to Tigertown and our football program. We just need to stay patient and most of all positive which the kids feed off of. Come August I wanna see those seats filled like back in the day. I wanna see people forget about the tv coverage and come out and support our community and kids in person. The cheers comming from the fans our kids feed off of and seems to help determine the fate of the game. There are little reasons why people cant come out so I expect to see more people there and cheer on our Tigers as we yet again set out to make history.

Ya. Don't play the ALUMNI card too much... Once a TIGER, ALWAYS a TIGER doesn't always play out too well. We recently had a very good "OLD TIGER" apply for a job in the district and he got the SHAFT...???

to clear some things up:

1) I said Hack would not be a coach without a teaching job in Massillon. You can ask Hack himself, until this week that had not happened yet, so I was right on. I am very happy for Hack and more importantly for the Tiger football program. I have said many time before that NOBODY loves his Tigers and missed being away from the program more than Hack.

2) I did say Torrence would be playing pro ball and he is. I was wrong on where he would be drafted, but I do think many teams were scared off by his strong commitment to OSU for football.

3) TWBT, wow, you remembered the Ryan Perriloux thing from about three years ago. I was just thinking about that about 2 weeks ago. Man that kid might of turned into the biggest hyped college bust ever. Is he still at LSU? kid had all the tools.

TigerswillbeTigers

cracker! I'm not sure where Perriloux is these days, but I agree that he's onviously a huge bust!
However, Ron Pawlus still gets my vote for being the biggest bust in recent college football history. I can still hear Beano Cokk guaranteeing that Pawlus would win 2-3 Heisman trophy's at Notre Dame!
