Toss your scarlet colored glasses aside and lets see who gets the nod on MP.com when voting for which player should be the NBA's #1 pick!

A. Oden
B. Durant

Oden has more potential, especially defensively. There are lots of scorers in the NBA, but very few who can play D.

I don't think you can go wrong with either of them. From FoxSports:

I say Oden as well.

What player would you compare Oden to? I keep thinking Russell, but I don't know how accurate that is.

Based on what the Blazers needs are, I think it's a safe bet (although not a guaranteed Keno lock) that they'll take Oden.

I'd take Durant. He seems more of a complete player to me.

Durant will make a quicker impact on the team that drafts him. Oden will be a dominant big man for many years (barring injuries of course), just not right away. That said, I'd take Oden. Big guys like that don't come around very often.

It was fun watching those Celtics fans with the Oden jerseys, confident they were going to get the number one pick. Then it was a look of utter and complete shock and gloom when they were announced with the fifth pick.

Oden. Too much potential to pass up.

"There's talk that Greg Oden's camp is trying to persuade the Blazers to draft Ohio State point guard and childhood friend Michael Conley Jr., though general manager Kevin Pritchard declined to comment on any of the speculation."
