Baseball tourney

Not much of a baseball person, just wanted to some opinions. Would it be better for the H.S. Baseball tourney to be play like a round robin(if that is the correct term). Losing team would go to lower bracket and have another chance to get into winners bracket. I guess what I am trying to say(rather badly) that it is a lose and your out tourney. Should teams have second chance to get back in the winners bracket. Any thoughts?

Basketball... Lose and you are out. Football.... Lose and you are out. Why differant rules for baseball?
Of course, college baseball is differant if you "qualify" for the world series.

First round should be best out of 3. this eliminates a team that has one great pitcher at a chance of an upset. Most states have this procedure.

i think massillon would have went pretty far in this format we easilly had the best pitching and depth in the county this year

Of course, college baseball is differant if you "qualify" for the world series.

Maybe because football is pretty physical sport so that may be reason. Basketball and football you use the same players, baseball the pitcher would be different, batting order stuff like that.
