Well, we all know the Cavaliers put up a lousy performance last night in losing to the New Jersey Nets and now only lead the series 3 games to 2. While still in the drivers seat, we can see this series changing momentum and starting to slip away. We Cleveland fans ought to be used to this, right? Red Right 88, The Fumble, The Drive, The Whistle, In Baseball, a 100 win season then losing to the Braves in 6 in the 95 World Series, Then, losing to the Marlins in 7 in the 97 World Series, Basketball, The SHOT in losing to Michael Jordan and the Bulls in the 92 Eastern Finals, (Jordan over Ehlo). Now, perhaps on the verge of blowing a 3 games to 1 lead and losing 4-3 to the Nets in this years playoffs. All in all, lets face it, The City of Cleveland is living out its reputation, Now that's consistency isn't it? THEREFORE, THE NEW ABBREVIATION FOR CLEVELAND IS, INSTEAD OF CLEV., IS NOW OIC, WHICH IS "ONLY IN CLEVELAND" GO CAVS, BROWNS AND INDIANS, THE MOST CONSISTENT CITY IN ALL OF SPORTS. OIC

Nick,
Are you quitting on the Cavs already? Dude, they're 7-2 in the playoffs and have won 11 of their last 13 games. Don't be a loser!

No, I'm not giving up hope on the Cavs. I'll stick with the Cavs and all of Cleveland sports teams thru thick and thin in hoping and wishing that hopefully our teams can change Clevelands luck and start a new trend. Maybe this year will be that year our teams can get over the hump. We've only been saying that now for as long as I can remember and I'm 44 yrs old.

Keno, just because you learned a new acronym doesn't mean it has to be in all of your posts.
Chicago is now finished, and New Jersey will be finished tonight.

I certainly am hoping to see the Cavs come out and play with that same fire they did the last time they were in New Jersey:thumbsup:

PDC,
I coined that new acronym.
And Kamd50,
Cleveland had better have some fire in their ardent, scrappy, selves. They will need it.
And Phoenix will be going down in flames. San Antonio by +10! I am putting ALL the pressure on the black and white and if they don't pull this thing out...I will be angry because I fully expect the Spurs to win and I will hold them all responsible!

Keno---Detroit turns it up when needed and just fell asleep on Chicago in games 4 and 5. You thought honostly that Chicago would come back to win the series!!! get real Detroit is the best team in the East--PERIOD

monte81,
I was a little leery that things were getting away from the red and blue. But they put them away when it counted most.
Chicago was tough but Detroit definitely was the tougher of the two. And here's a statistic:
Detroit has won 11 of their last 24 Eastern Conference Finals games!

How many miles to the gallon does the Spurs bandwagon get these days?

PDC,
Yes...I am the person who coined FAIAP (For All Intents And Purposes) and FAIAPS (For All Intents And Purposes).
The Spurs will grind up Phoenix...the Suns had their chance to put a lock on the series but failed badly in an 88-85 defeat. And San Antonio doesn't fail too much to close out a series under the reign of head coach Gregg Popovich.
I am putting all the pressure on the Spurs. And they will win. You can't stop a team in the eye of the storm and the Spurs are that team (MTown will find out why after 12 a.m.).

San Antonio has championship will and tradition. Phoenix does not. Oh, and also, Michael Howard Finley and Manu David Ginobili were HUGE!
The Spurs are the tougher team!!!!!!
Now I'm planning my next wager for the Steelers-Browns game...to be determined at a later date!

MTown,
When the NBA brackets came out, I picked Detroit to take back the NBA championship and I have them doing that over San Antonio. They should have beaten them two years ago but gosh darn that Robert Horry! I had every matchup predicted and missed perfection because of the Spurs 81-74 win in Game 7 of the 2005 NBA Finals.
The Pistons will finish the deal and win their fourth NBA championship.

If the Cavs would lose their series (of course I hope that doesn't happen), I would be strongly rooting for the Spurs. Anyone but Detroit!

Number one, I'm a Cleveland fan. The Cavs are playing Detroit. Why would I root for Detroit?
Number two, I absolutely despise sports teams who embrace thuggery (Miami U. cough cough). That's why I rooted against the old Pistons "Bad Boy" teams and that's why I root against Ragweed and the Pistons now.

longtimefirsttime,
Rasheed Abdul Wallace is not "Ragweed." He is a proud and courageous god-fearing, heart and soul Black Muslim who is part of a solid Pistons run. He is also married to Fatima and has a son...Ismail Wallace, who will lead the way in his father's footsteps!
Detroit has always been a fast, hard, and physical team dating back to the Bad Boys...Thomas, Laimbeer, Dumars, Rodman, you name them all.
You want thuggery? Look at the Cincinnati Bengals......enough said!
RAW baby, RAW baby!

MTown and CarlE,
Islam forbids the smoking of weed. Rasheed Wallace does not smoke weed. MTown...Wallace's technical fouls are in the heat of the moment. He is a competitor and he plays to win the game and more than anything, hates losing!
Don't forget that he was the heart and soul of the Portland Trailblazers during his time with the team. When he went...the whole team went. When he was frustrated, the team was frustrated. Everyone was behind Rasheed as expected! And it's the same in Detroit but he plays more disciplined with the Pistons than he does with the Blazers because he knows that Joe Dumars (Pistons director of basketball operations) is watching him closely.
However in Portland...Wallace did threaten the life of NBA referee Tim Donaghy after a game and was assessed a seven-game suspension. That time, he went too far.
Call me crazy but I wouldn't mind playing with RAW. He knows what it takes to win.

Wallace hits the chief, Keno. Being Muslim doesn't mean he doesn't do it.
He is the biggest cry-baby in the NBA. Don't give me that "heat of the moment" BS.

Crying about every foul call is different than letting your emotions get the better of you from time to time. He cries about EVERYTHING. That's not his emotions getting away, that's him being a baby.

Keno, please read.
"Portland Trail Blazers teammates Damon Stoudamire and Rasheed Wallace were cited for misdemeanor marijuana possession early Friday after their vehicle was stopped on the way home from a game in Seattle."
http://espn.go.com/nba/news/2002/1122/1464689.html
When he was once pulled over by police and asked whether he had marijuana in the vehicle, the genius replied, ""No, we smoked it all up."
From Yahoo:
"His stint with the Trail Blazers was marred by several marijuana related incidents including one where, with then-starting power forward Rasheed Wallace, his yellow Hummer was pulled over on I-5 for speeding and driving under the influence of marijuana. After Stoudamire's third arrest for marijuana possession in 2003, he was fined $250,000 and was suspended for three months."
I'm sure I can find more Keno.
