just pay the man. Him leaving after this year will be a huge loss.
As a die-hard Steeler fan I can name you 2 moves in the past couple of months that will kill them over the next 5 years and neither is Joey Porter related.
1) Not re-signing Faneca
2) Not drafting Michael Bush of Louisville in the 3rd round.

Maybe he and Cowher can join the Browns next year.

You know, it doesn't make a difference to me if Faneca leaves. Such episodes like this will test the heart and commitment of first-year Pittsburgh Steelers leader of the pack Mike Tomlin.

5 Pro Bowls in a 9 year career and possibly the best guard in the NFL and you do not care if he leaves? My goodness.

Crackerman,
I will always be a Pittsburgh Steeler. I wish Faneca a prosperous 2007 season and wherever he goes after this.

Gosh, could this be another example of the demise of the Pittsburgh Steelers that good ol TwbT predicted in week 14-15 of last season?
I seem to remember several Steeler fans telling me that I was out of my mind predicting that the Steeler run was about to end, the other teams in their division were definately getting better, and that "IF" Cowher left the team after the season the Steelers would become a mediocre team in the NFL.
Sorry bout your luck Keno, the ship is sinking and you're stuck with an 8-8 team again that has little to look forward too.

You just have to feel sorry for those Steelers. NOT!

Keno, the Steelers are losing pieces of that "Dennis Miller Championship Tradition" or whatever. You are blind to the fact that pieces have left and are not being replaced.
Here's my prediction for you. The Steelers will finish at .500 or below and 3rd in the AFC North.

MTown,
That tradition is pride, persistence, power, passion, perseverance, prestige. They are 79-41-1 this decade, the best by far. I will always have faith and trust in the Steelers, no matter what!
Oh...and I listen to Dennis Miller on radio too.

Crackerman,
I will always be a Pittsburgh Steeler.
DId they sign you to a contract? You forgot a major word that you need in there, especially you, and that is FAN.

Crackerman,
Come on! You know I am deeply entrenched and rooted in Pittsburgh blood.
Faith + Trust = Pittsburgh Steelers!

I know the Steelers would NEVER make a trade with the Browns, but Phil Savage should find a team to secretly do a 3-way trade with to get Faneca. That would certainly bolster the Browns' biggest weakness going into this season.

If there was ever a way we could get Faneca to go along with with Eric Steinbach and Joe Thomas, and LeCharles Bentley could come back...we would be looking at the most dominating offensive line in the NFL.

maybe the Browns will trade for Keno since he is a Pittsburgh Steeler.

I think Keno dresses up as the Steeler mascot on Sundays.

No way, dude. Keno would cost next year's 2nd rounder, plus our first pick in '09. The Browns cannot afford to mortgage the future like that. Then again, who knows what kind of impact his Dennis Miller, Pittsburgh blood would have on the team.

I will never be a part of the dog pound. Heart and soul is Pittsburgh always! I do wish Faneca all the best in his last season and wherever he goes for the future.

That was so funny!!
I can see it right now: "He's made the catch and he's thundering down the field, 30, 20, 15, 10, 5, 3......Steelers touchdown! Little Keno Sultan outrunning Browns defenders on the way for the touchdown!"
"But he's also on fire and the Browns don't have an answer for the stud and his speed."
"The kick is up and good. With 7:27 left in the ball game, Pittsburgh has opened up a commanding 27-7 lead on the Browns."
