Where do you suggest I take it?

The face needs needs buffed and polished. It also needs a new band. Should i just take it downtown to Duncans?

I always go to Duncan's for jewelry repair. They are reasonable and do a nice job.

Duncan's was good when I lived there, and I doubt anything has changed. AND it's a local business. It would be great to support them.

It is a Gruen Precision. Most likely from the mid to late 70's. I dont know anything about watches but it says Swiss watch on the back.

Thanks for the responses so far. I went down to Duncans this evening. They were already closed. Im going to try again tomorrow.

Alright, I went down to Duncans earlier today. I hate to do this.....but, the person behind the counter was very short with me. Very rude. I couldnt understand how I was the only customer in there yet I was being treated like it didnt matter. Maybe they were just having a bad day, I dont know. They said they could not do what i was asking. I think cleaning and polishing a watch would be common for a jewelry shop, correct?

Anyways, someone suggested I try Dakota Watches at the mall. Anywhere else I could try?
