Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the main even, Lets get ready to rumble! There are less than twenty four hours untill kickoff. Let me the first to say "Oh yeah I'm excited", but, more than excited I can't sleep and I know many of you are doing the same thing, either sitting there listening to "The Eye of The Tiger" on repeat or reading your pigskin previews over and over and it's with good reason. Let me tell you why I'm excited.
Our offensive line features one of the states best o-line men in Reggie Comeaux who looks to be headed wherever he wants at the next leval, Cory Shane started a year ago and got bigger and better. Lineing up behind those staillions is Bobby Huth, let me remind everyone that he has a 12-2 career record as a starting QB. He can choose to hand off to returning first team all state back Brian Gamble, Lightning quick K.J Herring or Justin Turner who looks to have all the makings of a DI back. But here's whats got me really excited. Our stable or receivers. From what I've seen Georgio Jakson has all the makings of a stud at wide out. Trey Miller returns, Brian Sheegog is fast as lightning and Mike Porinni may be the most athletic player on the team. Add Andrew Dailey in the slot and you're not going to find a better group of 5 receievers.
Offense wins games but Defense wins championships. I know people are saying bad things about the defense after the first scrimage but I have confidence in Tom Stacy to put it all together. He has the talent. Emery Saunders Dailey and Gamble all started a year ago. Porinni and Darren McGruire both saw significant playing time last year and add in players like Antoino Sasacca, Cody Colly and Steve Yoder could tie this defense up and win us that state title.
Since this is Ohio I figured I'd mention one last time "Tressel Ball" Steve Schott is the best kicker around and Rob Maylor looks to be a great punter.
What do you guys think?
