While I don't disagree with Massillon's decision to look for another (quality) opponent, it appears that the discussion of this events demise was premature.
Here's the line-up for the North segment, to be played at Fawcett Stadium on Saturday, September 1st.
(times TBA)
Youngstown Cardinal Mooney vs. Gateway (Pa.)
Cleveland Glenville vs. Long Beach (Calif.)
Canton McKinley vs. Union (Okla.)
Grove City vs. Central Catholic (Pa.)
The rest of the games can be viewed here:

I'm sure several Tiger fans will make the trip to Fawcett for the Saturday games (with the Tigers playing Solon the night before). I'd really like to see that Colerain/Hoover, Alabama matchup though.

Oh well, as much as I enjoyed it last Fall before my illness, I have to say that moving the games to Canton was insulting to the Massillon folks who worked so very hard; and IMO did a super job of hosting the event.
With out the Massillon Tigers involved, I see the attendance as being in the low numbers. Massillon fans pumped up the numbers.

Is that a real t-shirt in your av? If so, I love the Tiger's Lair M on there.

How is Elder looking for this year? I really hope they (an Ohio team) can show Independence and the people down here what football is all about. I live just north of Charlotte and it is a huge deal around my area if 4000 show up at a game. They just don't understand. It's too bad the game can't be played at Massillon or McKinley.
I also would like to see Colerain beat up on Hoover.

it depends on who you talk to. some think that this is the year they bounce back and go far into the playoffs......some think they'll be average, at best. the opinions vary greatly. i don't think anyone really believes they'll be top ten in the state this year.
I also would like to see Colerain beat up on Hoover.
this is the matchup that i really want to see. i'm wondering how colerain will do this year. they always have talent, but lost their coach. they'll come to play, though.

Does Elder play in the same conference as Moeller, St. X?

Did Colerain hire within? I was just wondering since they ran a triple-option, I believe.

I believe that they do in the south division of the GCL.
