As I understand it, Rohrer is retiring at the end of the year. Massillon will then have two assistant Supers, each with different areas of responsibility.

Believe me this is GREAT NEWS! They can't fire the guy so they are putting him somewhere where he can't cause problems. The pep-rally's will be back, transfers won't have to be interoggated by him etc. etc. Watch for Pallente to get an Admin position and join the Tigers. With his puppet master A.H. retiring Fornter will be like a lost puppy!!

That isn't the same. Fortner is in charge of education. Stacy is a head football coach. If Stacy had 2 sons playing for another area coach I would question that. Not ruling out a good excuse but does not exactly instill confidence and should be reasonably addressed.

Babics makes a good assistant prinipal, but I can not even begin to imagine him as a principal.

Do any of you even have an idea of what a principal's job description is, or how well he has executed his duties?

1) I do not know FR..and what the he!! does he have to do with this..NOTHING

2) No where in my comments did I ever say Fortner was "anti Massillon" or
should be gotten rid of...however I will say he got the position by default
in as much as there were other more seasoned and qualified candidates for
the job that declined it..He also stepped into a position of High School Principal comming from an elementary school which was a big difference one
in which he did not adjust well at first...He also replaced a very well respected man..A MASSILLON MAN AT THAT..in Bob Rohrer

3) You say Fortner has helped MCS a hell of alot...What did the man do or
accomplish...you want reasons why he should go...give me examples of why
he should be asst super

4) TR is a fine man..he does more for kids than your out of touch self could
imagine..call the Boys and Girls Club and ask them about TR..he donates his
time in numerous projects that ultimately help the kids and city

I would suggest that you poll the teachers who have worked under Fortner at Smith and WHS...and then the adults who have had kids at either school when Fortner was there.

Where he lives and where his children attend school is of little consequence to me. The only issue is competency and how he relates to people.

Perhaps he is better suited as an Asst Super than as a Principal.

I sincerely hope so.
