Thank goodness Massillon fans aren't poorly behaved like other high school fans anywhere else for this matter:

I was sickened to even see this. What a bunch of low life, stupid fans behaving like a bunch of bold, irresponsible, thoughtless, crass, heartless, egostistical, sadists.
Kudos to Massillon fans for showing what it means to have exemplary fans unlike some of these other snakes in the grasses.

Good ol' New York, New York:doh: Makes me glad that I live in my little hometown of Massillon, Ohio. People just do NOT know how to act with respect for their fellow human beings anymore! But it looks like there is plenty of culprits involved in this ludicrous mess, including the "safety guards" or w/e they were who were caught on video beating someone who had already thrown their hands up. Betcha there's a lawsuit in there somewhere, too.
No wonder the NYPD have to actually run ads to "recruit" for their profession in that town!

If I'm a Massillon fan, I DOUBT I'm going to sit here in my glass house and throw stones, right? Can you say Marion Harding game, in addition to about 100 other examples I can provide?

I'm not saying they weren't. I AM saying that I don't want Massillon fans to get on here acting holier-than-thou. It would be quite hypocritical, wouldn't you agree?

It's not acting holier than thou. All towns have 100's of little incidents throughout society, this is much greater than anything that has ever happened in Massillon. I would never compare Massillon fans to the people that were rioting in The Garden, the subways, and the streets. Nor the fac that Hundreds of teenagers were fighting with police, according to the piece.
When did Hundreds of Massillon teenagers fight with police? Never.

I wasn't comparing specific incidents. I was comparing attitudes when somebody starts railing on other fans on this site, like I've seen happen so many other times. And don't TALK to me about Massillon people fighting among themselves after a loss. I've experienced that more than once myself.
Your quick defensive stand borders on the holier-than-thou mentality, quite frankly.

Not really, that is just your opinion. I have no such mentality at all, and if you really knew me, I wouldn't even have to comment on that.
However, I have no qualms whatsoever about defending Massillon or its fans, nor apologies for doing so. I've experienced a few incidents myself being that I have been going to the games nonstop since about 1970. Like I said, every town has incidents, but not to this proportion. Actually, I don't think that I have ever read about any other city where Hundreds of teens were fighting with the police officers. If so, when and where was it?

For God's sake just forget it. Massillon is perfect, and the fans are perfect. Good GOD.

I never said that, and neither has anyone else. No need to be sarcastic or p o'd just because someone doesn't agree with you all of the time CarlE. It's not a conversation anymore when just one person's opinion is considered the only correct opinion, geesh!
But, if one would ask me if I think Massillon fans are better (not holier)than any other highschool fans in the whole damn country, I'd have to say hell yes they are, MP posters being among the best of the best!

I have been trying to tell him that for years, Kamd. Only thing I have succeeded in doing is getting figurative lumps on my head for my troubles...:no3:

I don't see the NYC state basketball championships being held at Madison Square Garden after those people acted like a bunch of malicious, unwarranted, terrible, hateful, arrogant, feeble, uncool, crazed, knuckleheaded, insensitive, nuisance dummies!
Thank goodness I'm not a parent...if I even had a son, daughter, or relative involved in that...I'd have done what Al Payton did to his son, Gary Dwayne Payton (Miami Heat guard) when he was misbehaving in school in the third grade.
Low down, dirty, sick, crazed, yellow, lying, freaking, snakes in the grass.
