View Full Version : A "Disturbing" Truth

Well, I took my little girl out to the Childrens section of books at Borders today, and, lo and behold, what do I find? None other than Incovenient Al's "wonderful" book.

This is disturbing, however, not very surprising that they'd have this hypocrites book in the kids section of a book store. I mean, we can never have them indoctrinating our children at too young of an age.

It's bad enough our public (and I'm not necessarily saying MASSILLON'S, but it wouldn't surprise me to find it out) schools are getting them young, they have to peddle their propoganda in a part of a bookstore meant for children.

Listen, it's one thing to put it out their for adults to see, but it really ticks me off to politicize the children of the world. Can we stop this nonsense already? Why do we have to force anything on our children? Shouldn't we just let them be kids, and as they get older, THEN let them formulate their political opinions? Is that too much to ask?

Well, for whatever it's worth, Borders will be getting contacted by me...both the local store, and the corporate office.

Just thought I'd vent. I know some of you won't agree with me, but frankly, I don't care. It's how I feel, and I want me and the Mrs to be the main influences in our childs life, not some hypocrite ex- Pres...er, VICE President.

Comments about too many Al's have been written on this forum lately. Just for the record, I am not a preacher man, a former VP or have I published any books. :jestera:

It's never too soon to educate the youth, after all, it takes a village, Mom and Dad are no longer good enough.

I just don't see the need to put the book in the Children's section. Anywhere else in the store, that's fine, but not there. Do we really need to start them THAT young?
