In 2 weeks he is going to be drafted by an NFL team I doubt he will choose a high school asst coaching gig over an NFL salary.

What little I have heard from newspapers and stuff is that he has a good chance of being drafted. He did well at the combines from my understanding.

Andy just got a 2007 Lexus LS460L, I doubt you could afford a $70,000 vehicle on that salary. He'll be in the NFL in 15 days.

Since one of my hobbies is the NFL Draft, you can take this to the bank... Andy gets drafted no later than early 4th and as early as mid second round. He might be the fastest riser on the board. As a matter of fact the Browns are probably showing the most interest. Currently he is rated 4th out of 134 rated guards by NFL Draft scout (2-3 rounder), 6th by NFL Draft Countdown (3rd round) and about the same by Kiper etc. So don't be suprised if he's property of the Browns in the 3rd. And one scout has been quoted as saying no way does he get past the Browns in the second. The reason for the rise is because he finished first or second in almost every combine drill and some area's it's not all that close. Plus the fact that he is a converted DL is an advantage because of the potential. I was going to post part of his scouting report (the whole thing I have is pages long) but there is a copyright protection on it and I can't but for the most part it is all very positive. The Patriots are another team that seems to have shown some interest.. Wouldn't that be funny, McDaniel coaching Andy....

From Todd Porter's weekly prep notes column (the usual TP disclaimer applies):

"Andy Alleman, who played at Hoover and then Massillon, is ranked as the 109th best player in the draft by Pro Football Weekly. The University of Akron guard is listed 10 spots in front of Ohio State quarterback Troy Smith. There is good reason why Alleman’s stock has taken off. Of the guards at the combine, Alleman had the best 40 time (5.07), vertical jump (30 inches), broad jump (8-10) and 20-yard shuttle time (4.65). That probably means he is the most athletic guard available. "

The entire column can be read here:

I wasn't taking a shot at him I just figured the linemen from bigger colleges were more likely to get taken
