I am so pissed off this morning. Nice to wake up a 6:30 with your doorbell ringing... It's the landlord of the plaza I just put my satellite shop into letting me know that I was robbed. I am really happy that the police are the ones who set of the alarm on the store. Thank you to the newspaper person who called to police to tell them the front door was smashed in, you did better than the security alarm company.

I hope they enjoy the two LCD flat panel big screen HDTVs they stole, one of which I had never even had the oportunity to turn on yet. Hope they had fun destroying my satellite radio displays just for the heck of it (they didn't even take any of the sat radio stuff). Hope the monster cables they took help them get better picture on those TVs.

Sorry, I am pissed and just needed to vent a little.

I'm sorry, but I'm just beating everyone else to the punch...

You should have built it in Massillon. :poke:

Seriously though, I'm sure you feel violated right now.

I'm truly sorry to hear about this.

Dang buddy so sorry to hear about that. What the heck is wrong with people? Here we have a guy starting a business and he doesn't even get off the ground before this crap hits him. And what is UP with the Security company? I know one thing. They would be buying me a new front door window, some LCD panels and some new displays. This is BS. I hope they catch them, brother.

Thats a damn shame !
Now a days a young guy can't catch a break. Don't let it get to you, let the cops do there job and you get the shop open.
Where is your place ?

It is at 2840 Lincoln Way E, suite G.

Just over the Perry border. From what I understand the L.L. and the other tenants are not happy with the response time of the Perry Police from when the call went in. I wasn't notified until about an hour to an hour and a half after the police arrived either.

P.S. they found the problem with the alarm system.

Perry police are by far the worst!!!! Unless they are scrambling the kids out of the parking lots where they park you won't see them. When they are kicking them out, you'll see 4 or 5 cars, but when you needed them, they were probably pulling someone over with 6 cop cars.

The going into effect thing is my fault, I did not intend when I signed up for the policy to have a storefront started until next week, but when I got the chance to setup early I thought it would be a good move... guess not.

BTW, speaking of mayoral things... If Mayor Cicchinelli had done anything to improve the economy in Massillon maybe people would be too busy working instead of breaking into my store. There, even.

That sucks Spize. Every time I've been driving through there, Perry cops are all over the place. It takes a lot of guts (or stupidity) to even try something like that. I guess that's why I'm not a thief.

Well... interesting day.

It has been confirmed that the alarm system DID NOT go off until the cop set it off.

I got a copy of the police report... it took the Perry Police, by their own report, 28 minutes to respond.

Then I get a visit from the township today... Apparently I owe the township $35 because I changed the vinyl lettering on the sign that already existed on the sign in front of the building I am in.

I fully intend on not paying that, if they force me to pay it I will gladly change the lettering a second time. Whatever will I put on that sign...:scratchchin:

Spize, just a piece of constructive criticism. Pay the $35 and move on. I would think the last thing you would want to do as a new business owner is create a problem with the police and the township.

I don't know. I could see if I was erecting a new sign, but for a sign that already exists? It just doesn't seem right.

P.S. I will probably end up just coughing up the $35, but they will know I am not happy about it.

In this case my friend, more flies with sugar........
Get one dept PO, you get them all.
Remember when you were in school and everything was your fault if it was or not. Thats what you are doing .
New business, new chapter of your life, bite the bullet and invite them to the Grand Opening

Perry is having the " EMPTY STOREFRONT " issue too ??

Darn local gov't fault !!:scratchchin:
