Before Tom Brady, Drew Bledsoe was the heart and soul of the New England Patriots, carrying them to an AFC championship in 1996. Bledsoe was one of my favorite QB's before Tom Brady entered the picture.
Bledsoe I think hit his peak in 2001, when he came off the bench to lead the Patriots past a dangerous Pittsburgh Steelers team in the AFC championship game in the form of a 24-17 win.
Since that one game, Bledsoe hasn't had really much success after that.

He had a good career and it was the right time to retire. He was a statue in the pocket the past few years.
