On Monday crews started to work at WHS.

It was sad to see the baseball score board pulled out of the ground and damaged. But things move on.

Look for the field inside PBTS to be done before summer. We will have BLACK in zones with Massillon in one end and Tigers in the other.

I think it was already posted somewhere that the lettering in the black endzones will be white with orange border and there will be a large M in the middle of the field.

I understand what your saying.I also believe what your saying is true. But I would use any advantage I could use in war.And on the field or in the stands anything to get them thrown off thier game works. I can remember when MOELLER came out on the field in OHIO STADIUM their all star uniforms During our state championship game. These guys looked great. and obviously played great.To me sometimes dress for sucess helps out.even though it's just a little.

I remember that game, too. I remember that they were about 4 inches taller and about 20-30 pounds heavier than us on both lines. They were also faster, had stronger arms and had about twice as many guys as we did. It's funny though. I sure as hell don't remember what color uniforms they were wearing!!!

I do i played in it and still have pics somewhere at home.I also woke up the next day with a bruised kidney and 2 broken ribs. I didnt think anything about it during the game.Just a good hit on me.ohh by the way you find out somethings wrong when you take your morning leak and pee blood.

Oh I definately see what your saying Tiger36 and part of me agrees with you. I just think kids think too much about what they wear instead of how they play. The only thing I have a problem with wearing all black is like OW said, are we Perry?? I really don't want to be linked to them in anyway other than how we own them!!!!

IMO--- Black on black should only be worn in week 10 and beyond! The captains and seniors do not pick the uniforms each week anymore? My senior year we wore every combination but the balck on black until the bulldogs come to town for the annual butt kicking! However the all black is not intimidating to most HS powers but if it gives the fans an edge then cool but I personally also like the white uniforms. The stadium has always been great no matter what changes are made--best in the country(at least until you get to Texas)

I hate Moeller anyway!!! We have issues with private schools that wear yellow esp. Iggy and Moe! Moe had those stars on the jerseys because they were a tri-state all star team!!!

I love the black-on-black. If you were a former player, you HAVE to admit that an opposing team with ALL BLACK uniforms is intimidating. Some other posters have eluded to the concept of having awesome uniforms work for them: I definitely think that is true in some cases.

Massillon wore all white in 2005 for the playoff run. However, being as superstitious as I am, we didn't do very well last season in all white.

What's the big deal about not having as much orange? I don't want to look like a bunch of pumpkins - or worse - the Browns!

Somewhere, I bet there is a statistical study funded by the government that shows a correlation of the talent, athletic ability, win/loss record and the color of the uniforms worn in the games played by high school football players. :suspect:

your also correct about some players care too much about how they look.I noticed that also.but i also noticed from as long as i can remember that massillon always looked good no matter what era it was.for whatever years it was we always had some sharp uniforms. but i dont like orange on orange that much.

However I love the black on black but it seems like we wear white on white or black on black most of the time now! Mix it up alittle for us 70's and before babies still out here routing for our team!

Oh man Tiger36, we were on the same page until you talked about the all orange!!! Not many like it, but I think it looks nice with everything but the black helmets. White helmets make everything much better IMO.

Last season you had a choice of Black or White.
You could pay for either or both.
There maybe orange jerseys this coming year.
( And no they will not be asking for help to pay for them)

LISTENING TO LOGIC:

Last time I checked, a lot (I'lll use the word "some" if that fits better) of people were complaining about being asked to help pay for the uniforms last season.

Now people are complaining about not having orange jerseys.

A third uniform color, thus, would equal MORE cost, which you would have been asked to help pay for. You follow? So, which is it people? Did you want to not pay for extra and just be happy with two uniforms like every other HS team, or did you want orange jerseys plus extra cost? OR....did you want to be spoiled and have three uniforms and not have to pay for a dime?

Not to argue with you MassFan3, but we got orange pants didn't we, or is that just a misprint. Not sure just checking because if we got the pants why not the jerseys? Are the pants that much cheaper??? Hope the stadium and players look good when this whole thing is completed and the DREAM is a Reality!!

To answer your question, no, orange pants were not bought. For whatever reason, word around here at MP said there would be 3 different uniforms, but that was a rumor. I don't remember ever hearing of orange uniforms - pants or tops. I know some people like DHE made some sweet images of what they would look like, but orange was never purchased - way too much $$$$.

Personnally, I always liked the orange jersey/black pants combo, but what the heck! As far as the field, as long as our offense ends up in the end zone, it doesn't matter to me what color it is! (just don't do a Boise State thing)!!!!!
