I hate fighting. It is just plain stupid. Nothing ever good comes from it and often times it either alters or ends someone's life.

Its a growing trend of HS and college athletes being targeted when in nightclubs and parties. You have to know when to go out and when to stay home these days!! The streets is trouble and if I were playing college ball today i would spend my free time lifting, watching film, and training trying to get to the next level!---with a few beers here and there! Don't spring ball start this week anyway???? Fighting for the #1 spot at WR should of been his priority instead of bar hopping.

I guess hindsight is 20/20. Wouldn't we all have done things different in highschool and college if we knew what we know now?

monte81,

Too many college players do too much of it and make bad decisions in the college life. It leads to this and worst-case scenario, death.

They don't do it when they are at the prep level, so why make bad decisions at the collegiate level?

Players shouldn't even be in the position to get into fights in the first place.

Just as many players/athletes make plenty of bad decisions even when they get into the pros. There isn't even a point in beginning to list names concerning this issue. It's just the way some people are. And some people learn from their mistakes (eventually), while others never will; in sports or any other facet of life as well.

From preps to the pros people make stupid decisions and you are correct in saying that some grow up and learn and some do not. I try to take the mistakes I made as a student/athlete and help my brother be a better person, student, and athlete. So hindsight might be 20/20 as far as my career and misfortunes!!LOL However Darion is OK and I try to teach him to stay focused on HIS future at all times. All his paerwork is complete for college, he is turning in essays for Booster Club, David Foundation, and Church for possible scholarships, and working 4 days a week with BG and crew to get ready for DI football. I look forward to the next few years watching Darion and all the kids play at the next level and grooming my sons as well!
