Sorry if this has been posted already. Just read that David Abdul was not cleared to play by Pitt's medical staff, thus ending his football career at Pitt. Very unfortunate end for a career that got off to such a promising start.

No.....he had open heart surgery.

That is very sad. He was an amazing kicker with a promising future doing just that.

Here's hoping that David just gets himself healthy soon.

David's life has been one black cloud after another since his departure from Massillon. The only positive thing was that he has a beautiful baby boy !!:afro:

He's had a tough road. But from what he's witnessed and been through it's a blessing he's alive.

The article in the ABJ yesterday said that there is a chance they may appeal to the NCAA for a 6th year due to medical conditions. If not, it doesn't stop him from trying out in the NFL as a free agent. Hopefully, David can overcome this.
