"In the last three years alone, he noted, utility costs have risen from $1.5 million annually to $2.7 million annually."
Can anyone explain why? Harsh winters?

Higher fuel costs, just the same as my home. We still need the gas and electric but I guess they will come out with closing some of the grade schools , less to operate and maintain.
Anyone what to guess which ones they close ?

I was just surprised those costs were going up, since two old buildings were demolished and the middle and high schools are relatively new.
