In my opinion (which obviously means squat as far as they're concerned) Pallante and Garcia are the most impressive candidates.

I guess that ends the speculation that Wakefield would apply.

It appears Brian Spicer would like to come back to the area.

"The biggest thing about GlenOak is it's Stark County football at its best. It's the Federal League..........."
Since when is Stark county's best football and GO synonomous?:ohplease:

Maybe it was a misquote from "Stark County is where football is best." But I can't blame the guy for pumping them up in the press (even if it's inaccurate). He's trying to get hired.

Possible........but there is a fine line between pumping somebody up and :bs:

I am surprised Wakefield did not apply, since he did apply for the Jackson job.

From Todd Porter's weekly Prep Notes column (the usual TP disclaimer applies):
"According to Adkins, GlenOak's football coach committee has narrowed the list of applicants to four who will get, or already received, interviews. Those coaches are Massillon assistant Scott Garcia, Marlington head coach Dan Pallante, Waynedale assistant Eric Brock and Massillon assistant Dave Kaple.
Adkins said they hope to have the first round of interviews completed on Monday."
The entire column can be read here.

Xtiger,

Don't even try to force my hand on this one. It's all a done deal and I already know who is going to be the lead Eagle before it's said and done.

keno,
You are not the only one. Everybody knows it has been a done deal for over a month now.

Why doesn't one of you no-brainers tell those of us with brains who gets the gig?

you really cant figure this one out on your own?

Nah, I just think that the old "I know but I'm not telling" routine is a smokescreen to cover your butt in case you're wrong. It's often used by those who want people to think they know more than they actually do. :poke:

i know more than Keno and I have known it longer on this subject..lol

It makes you wonder why they even waste the time to accept applications and do interviews. :scratchchin:

Crackerman,

I already knew Garcia was the leading man! It was a no-brainer so I didn't feel the need to divulge my leads.

Garcia is on vacation and doesnt get back until tonight. They were going to go ahead and release it yesterday but with him being out of town and the media would obviously want to talk to him, They decided to wait now. Also on a side note, Pallante pulled out on Monday.

Hey Crackerman, do you think Pallante pulled out because he knew that he was not going to be selected?

crackerman
04-12-2007, 06:09 PM
honestly, I would think so. Why else would he pull out? Unless Plain had no administrative positions to put him in (he is currently an administrator at Marlington). He also might of pulled out because it has been known for a year now that Stacy wants him at Massillon, maybe Massillon has an adminstrative position for him.
