Antonio seems ready to do his thing at Illinois and I am routing for him. I hope BG can go in an provide a similar impact--real soon. I love to see tigers excel in college sports and academics!

monte81,
James is one of soon to be three Stark County players playing for the Illini on the roster. I'll be looking forward to seeing him, Gamble, and Joe Morgan (Canton McKinley).
I loved James' comment from last year's national signing day: Its going to be exciting to play with a person like Morgan. I have had nothing but respect for him and his success at Canton McKinley, he said. I hope he and I are the best of friends celebrating Big Ten football titles for a long time.
It just might come.........good luck to James and the rest of the Illini charges.

Ranked as one of top recruiting classes in the nation and some solid young talent could make them a program to be reckoned with in the next few years. BG will be an impact player really soon and I know BG and Darion has been working with Coach Faulkner to stay prepared to compete early in college.
Antonio is a stud and if he continues to work hard he may just be a 2/3 year starter in the Big Ten--- I will be happy for him and his family. I grew up with his family and I know how good of kid he is and he desearves to make it!

monte81,
Ron Zook is a better coach than Ron Turner was. Turner had one great season and then relapsed after that. I can't see that happening to Zook.
By the way...he runs a clean ship too.

My son said that he saw both Antonio and Andy at workouts this week at the highschool. It's good for the young guys to be have someone to look up to and aspire to like these fine young men.
All of Massillon wishes nothing but the best for, and is looking forward to great things to come for our former TIGERS:2thumbsup:

Keno there will be 4 stark county players playing at Illinois. You forgot to add OT Ryan Palmer from GlenOak who goes about 6-7 325.

They are listed as a team on the rise.

"Last year's team was young -- 16 true freshmen played -- and that experience is likely to pay dividends as the Illini attempt to end that bowl game dry spell. The potential is there, no question."

Being in the " Big 10 zone ", we should get to pick up a few Illinois football games this year ! Plus, the ESPN NCAA football package will probably broadast a few.

As a Florida fan an alum, I liked Zook as a person and as a recruiter. Thought he was a pretty bad game day coach, for the most part. He did have his moments, though. In his defense, it's hard to follow a legend. I wish him nothing but success at Illinois (except when they play Ohio State). I agree with Monte that BG won't redshirt.

His father was huge but never played any organized sports in High School. Looking back on all the talent we had in our school that did not play could of made a BIG differance on the field. However Coach Moronto weeded out alot of players with his boot camp practices during conditioning---- most did not make it to 2 adays!!!
