Nice comeback in the 2nd half by the buckeyes.

If Ohio State plays like they did in the 2nd half and oden stays out of foul trouble the Buckeyes could beat anyone. If they play like they did in the first half we wont be moving on any further.

Just imagine what the Buckeyes would be like if they had a complete game from each team member. Wow.

Same thing Xavier said to us before the Tennessee game. UT beat Memphis by 18. We match up WAAAYYY better with Memphis than with Tennessee. Did you see the center from Texas A&M last night? That guy OWNED the paint. Imagine what Oden will do IF he can stay out of foul trouble.

The demise of the Ohio State Buckeyes has been called for weeks. We are still standing.

Yeah....it's difficult to assume that the refs would actually call a FAIR game with Oden. Because everyone knows that when you run into someone's outstretched arms it's a foul...but when you put your full body weight on someone and push a hard as you can, that's a no call.

Correct, Oden got jobbed so bad last night... I didn't feel safe until about 3 minutes after the end, I thought for sure they would find a way to call foul on that block at the end.

(BTW, I LOVE the look on the Tenn cheerleader's face in the background when that block happens)

Oden got jobbed on 2 calls last night, but he sure as hell earned the one where he hooked the guy around the back. (I don't remember his first foul, but It was probably a legit shooting foul)

IMO it seems like it isn't just Oden. The games that I have watched the stars of the teams are getting these ticky-tack foults called on them and then have to go to the bench. Let them play.

I have memphis beating OSU in my bracket. I really want OSU to win though, so it will be tough to root for who to win. I'm in second place with my bracket. I really needed UNC to lose (with one of USC's stars getting some questionable calls). With as bad as T.H. played, I thought USC would win.

Yes, unfortunately for you CarlE, time to eat some crow. I usually look forward to reading your posts, but how could you say the Bucks would get torched??? It was your opinion though and I respect that. It will be nice if they can avenge all of their losses and win it all along the way!!!

Revenge and play Flordia they got us in football. Would be nice to win it in basketball. Sorry about them playing UCLA. IT IS THE WINNER OF NC AND GEORGETOWN

Well, I was wrong about Memphis. I had them winning in my bracket but I am glad OSU won. I really thought Memphis might win by a bucket. It didn't help that they have an idiot named Dorsey on their team.

UNC and Georgetown looked pretty bad in their last games in my opinion. I thought USC would beat UNC but I think the lack of depth hurt them.

Let's just hope that whoever the Bucks play that they finally let the big men just play. It does seem a little strange that Oden is getting into all of this foul trouble when he didn't in the regular season. Perhaps this will come true since Oden will go against another quality bigman. Let Oden and Hansbrough/Hibbert just play.

Also, and I may be alone in this, but I just feel like Conley has been much more valuable to the Bucks than Oden. As far as next year and the freshman coming in, I think losing Conley would hurt more than Oden.

Yes, yes it is time to eat crow. How could I say it? You answered it; it was my OPINION. And I don't mind being wrong on this one!! Congrats to the Buckeyes on a GREAT win. Gosh, I just hope Kentucky doesn't come courtin' Matta with all they have, which I am afraid they will.

Al.,

That forceful approach is what defines people like CarlE. Ohio State is truly playing possessed and I too have to give them credit...after all, I attested that they would not be going Georgia dancing to the Final Four...

No one deserves this more than the Buckeyes, especially after having their previous Final Four appearance revoked......

Keno, how about a guaranteed prediction that Georgetown will beat OSU? Please, oh please.

longtimefirsttime,

Now that John Thompson III has avenged his father's loss along with Patrick Ewing Jr. avenging his father's loss to the Tar Heels...the Hoyas get the matchup they have wanted: Roy Hibbert vs. Greg Oden.

It will be a dandy and a fight to the finish. Of course, Georgetown won last year (Oden was a high school senior at the time) but to do it again will be hard to do.

However, I'm taking Thompson III, Ewing Jr. and the Hoyas in a high-scoring affair.

Hoyas by 5.

Keno, you're a good guy and I like you. But why do you have to make me do this to you. You made the above statement....now I have to ask you, what happened to Michigan's previous TWO Final Four appearances?

Well, we know on one that their star player couldn't count. Um remember Keno they had run out of time outs and Einstein Webber called another one anyway? That's OK.

And ESPN just did a documentary on them. According to Michigan now, they never even existed!!

Both teams were/are great!
However-- 3 out of the 5 are millionaires and have had 10 plus seasons in the NBA and the other 2 have had pretty successful careers overseas. Not to bad for a team that never existed.

OSU has a totally differant make up of the team-- the freshman at OSU are more team players and the FAb Five linked up at an all star game. There game(UM) was more playground because they had to run and gun but OSU can pound it in and play half court sets because they have true center and point guard and UM had neither.
