I know we have had some great games in the past with Middletown and they will have athletes and will play hard against the tigers! Home of Chris Carter and there graduating QB just signed with Wake Forest but they have some good players returning!

This is the most competitive game for week one since 2004 A. Buchtell and the old school Garfield games week one in the 80's!!

This game will definitely be a test for the Tigers and third-year charge Tom Stacy. A win and it could lead to great things for the 2007 Tigers.

This is a key match-up right out of the gate! The Middies will loose a very good quarterback to graduation. However, based on last year’s scores, and knowing that they do have several key players returning on offense, I still look for them to bring an adequate supply skill and firepower into Paul Brown Tiger Stadium.

Defensively Middletown gave up their fair share of points in 2006. I have no idea how many returnees they have on that side of the ball.

This should be a good one. I am confident our kids will meet the challenge and emerge with their first victory of the 2007 campaign!

Go Tigers! :trophy:

We do have some history w/ Middletown. And they dont book this game unless they have a shot, and they WILL have a good team this year.

Produced many Buckeyes like Carter, Jeff Cothran, the Bells, several others. You may not remember but they used to have a pipeline to OSU ala Glenville now, or Mckinley at their peak. LOADED at the skills.

do they bring a good sized and mannered crowd???

It'd be cool to play Dover again, that was a fun time.

they will bring their folks and mannered-----that depends on who your talking to? Remember, anyone outside of Massillon thinks were a bunch of wild rebel fans....so who cares what their fans are like.
Dover?, if they didn't chicken out last year, we would have played them again.

Let's hope not. And let's hope the power stays on.

TigerCook!

THAT was a monster of a post  !!!! Who cares about what anyone else think of Massillon fans? I know I don't! If they're jealous of Massillon, tough! Deal with it!! Massillon fans have probably more class than some of these other sardonic, hopeless, irascible, trash-faced snakes in the grasses! All these other fans can go find, unravel, corral, kill a wolf in sheep's clothing for all I care (except for the last paragraph)!

Massillon is one of seven fan bases I have a great deal of respect for!!!!!!!

Let me try to guess the seven.

1. McKinley Bulldogs
2. Massillon Tigers
3. Ohio State Buckeyes
4. Cleveland Browns
5. New York Yankees
6. Miami Hurricanes
7. Cincinnati St Xavier

Am I close ??? :jestera:

DAWGH8R,

Off-topic but you got two of the seven right.

I'm just sick of these so-called-know-it-alls acting high, almighty, and supreme when it comes to their unwarranted trashing of Massillon and their fans.

I mean, Massillon doesn't go around trashing anyone else and their fans. I mean, come on. And I'm sure anyone on here can "attest to that."

:OFF TOPIC: I listened to the State Hoops games on WTIG yesterday. The fans were WAY rowdie !

Back on topic ! I remember the Middletown / Power outage game very well!! Some VERY weird goings on in that game. From the helicopter to the torrential downpour to the power outage. What a poltergeist type situation !:cylon:
