Has the Independent had their Football Preview in the paper yet? If not, does someone know what day it will be in?

The Beacon Journal's preview is supposed to be in today's paper (Wed).

How about the Repository, etc?

Thanks.

The Akron Beacon Journal's is today (Wed). They had a story and a big full color photo on Andrew Dailey, picked as their preseason Defense Player of the Year.

The Beacon Journal had their preview today, but it was so politically correct it was sick! They have the Tigers as the #1 team in the area, but we only have BG, Dailey and Schott as pre-season 1st teamers. They have some QB from Orrville in before Bobby Huth. It's obvious that they're just making everyone happy.

I’m glad you said that because I just now looked at it and was wondering what was up. Was hoping that maybe it was because they would be doing a “JUST TIGERS” edition.

Who really cares what these preseason things have to say anyhow? The Tigers already have their hands full with expectations as it is being the state runner-up. Andrew nor the rest of the team really doesn't really need the added pressure. All I care about is how they perform once they are down there on that field! And that the coach and his staff are able to keep a tight handle on our player's attitudes and activities on and off the field this season.

I disagree !! I love the pre-season preview!! I go to a LOT of HS football games, and it's nice to get a heads up about players and teams. The Beacon really features a lot of teams from all different counties. I enjoyed it !!! :afro:

I've been looking at the Beacon all afternoon I love all of the schedules. I try to go to different games whenever Massillon isn't playing and sometimes there isn't anything going on in Stark County now I can check the lowly Akron teams.
