Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks, confessed to that attack and a chilling string of other terror plots during a military hearing at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, according to a transcript released Wednesday by the
Pentagon.
"I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z," Mohammed said in a statement read during the session, which was held last Saturday.
This guy also has confessed to the beheading of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl. He also claimed he shared responsibility for assassination attempts against Pope John Paul II and Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf.

Yes, and I was just amazed (not really) at how little coverage it has been given by the mainstream media.

I am glad that there will be one less worthless evil person capable of causing such havoc in this world. But the amount of his admittances raise my suspicion; such as "I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z".
He seems just a little too eager to take on complete responsibility for such a huge undertaking let alone all of the other incidents. It seems more likely that he is attempting to take suspicion and possible prosecution away from his comrades so that they can carryon:devil:

Kamd50. Honestly, is that as obvious to you as it is to me?
"I was responsible for the 9/11 operation from A to Z." Thats rediculous. And all that other stuff too? What a guy. I see our interogation tactics continue to yield great results. Maybe we should question him about the Kennedy assassination & who buried Hoffa.

Dear Lord, if you go on to actually read the link, he goes on and on about what he is responsible for. I liken it to his "claim to fame", as it is put in the article "sealing a legacy of historical notoriety..." It sounds as if all they really have is his word as to whether any of this is actually true or not. Nowhere does it point to any factual evidence and it sounds as if the military intelligence is indeed concerned about this as far as being able to actually convict him going on his word. Especially since he claims he was tortured by the CIA. And then he makes this idiotic statement to top it all off.. "some people consider George Washington as hero. Muslims many of them are considering Osama bin Laden. He is doing same thing. He is just fighting. He needs his independence."
Warren 1st, if I may offer a possible reason why this is not generating tons of headline news or even comments. It just could be the fact that this guy has been captured for how long now? Not to mention the questionable reliability of this maniac's claims. We all know we can take a terrorist's words as truth. That is how I see it and I'm sure many Americans, especially those in the military intelligence, share the skeptisism. But please, why do you have to bring Bush into this conversation? He is not mentioned in any one else's comments, nor is he the topic of the thread; and certainly is not responsible for Khalid Sheikh Mohammed's capture. Give credit for that to the men to whom it is due.

warren1st, as a sidenote, I consider myself pretty down the middle and imo Bush has not faced nearly the "blasting" Clinton endured in his 2 terms. Thats just the way it is. Especially now, in an ugly war.
The next man, or woman, is in store for the same. No matter who - no matter what. Its an industry.
Just trying to help you live longer my friend. :)

Sorry. I didn't mean to offend any of my liberal friends. I shall stick to the issue at hand.

About the only things this guy DIDN'T confess to were kidnapping the Lindbergh baby and being Anna Nicole's babydaddy.
