This Thursday, the Massillon Boys and Girls club fourth/fifth and sixth grade teams go for championships tomorrow at the J. Babe Stearn Center in Canton.
The fourth/fifth grade title game is at 4:45 and the sixth grade title game is at 5:45 p.m.
I'd advise people to check out the future of the Tigers under head coach/athletic director Marcus Marshall! I'll be there tomorrow and I hope to see some people out too!

Keno ,that was a heck of a game. How did you you like the T- I -G I started at toward the end of the Jackson game.
My son hit the 3 pointer to set up the win for the game.I was the camera man in the far corner. Too bad we didnt beat THAT OTHER TEAM in the 5th grade game.Prior to that game ,last week # 7 for Mck was on our team"Ricky Jacksons YOUNGER BROTHER. Still we came out of this with one championship win.
I must commend the boys Marcus Marshall,Derick Conley and Chad Arndt for a fine job they have done with our young future Tigers at the MASSILLON BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB.

Great to see our rivalry extend to the grade school level. I always wished they would form a total football and basketball league with the entire county for our kids to get better early with alot differant competition. Great job future tigers ---keep working hard and get those grades.
Derek Conley has worked with kids at the Boy's and girls club for years and I commend his efforts to stay in our kids lives positively!!!

Congrats to kids on their championship:thumbsup:
I love Derek! He is such a good guy and does so much for the kids. He is to be congratulated and thanked for all of his hard work. Besides working with them at the Boys n Girls Club, he coaches the younger kids in both football and baseball with compassion and enthusiasm, and has a wonderful repoire with them as well as being a positive influence:sunny:

Great posts by everyone and it was pleasing to see the support from Massillon fans at the title games.
Derek Conley leading his team to the fourth/fifth grade championship was great job credited to him and the team. They used an 8-0 and a 6-0 run along with a fast, hard, physical defense to take over the game against Jackson.
The sixth grade team came up a little short but the future is bright for them. Coach Marshall has always been a winner and that will feed on to future Tigers and will carry the current Tigers, who are in the middle school.
P.S. Tiger36, that was a nice chant there that got the Massillon crowd into the celebration.
The Boys and Girls club is to be commended for a job well done!

That's cool-- my son is in the 6th grade(glenoak schools) but he knows most of the kids from the club and just wondering names because I always keep up with the future tigers!

in a shocking turn of events, the team was disqualified when one of their players was found to have falsified his birth certificate. officials were put on notice when the child showed up at 6 feet tall with a goatee.
