Wild ending to Akron U. game

Miami hits a bank three before the buzzer to win it. Then a lengthy discussion was held about time that ran off before the Miami player touched the ball. Akron was given .6 of a second but threw the inbounds pass out of bounds. Miami wins 53-52

ESPN did a great job of analyzing this last play. The Miami kid got the shot off with 0.1 seconds it appears.

Regardless, what a heartbreaker for Akron:sad2: I felt really bad seeing how dejected they looked after that loss. A real shame.

Akron just can't seem to get a break. The end of that game sucked. I really thought Akron would have a chance to win a game in the NCAA's.

As for the NIT, I agree they got hosed, but when you're toughest non-conference game is on Bracketbuster Saturday against Austin Peay, what else can you expect?

being a miami alum, i'm probably one of the few people on here who are completley thrilled with the ending.

akron did get screwed in regard to the NIT, though.
