Hope the fellas are ready Saturday night. Warren is athletic, quick, tall, and most likely gunning for us after our regular season game. They looked pretty decent last night too. We gotta bring our A game.

Warren got a wake up call from Massillon in our 15-point loss. Warren knows Massillon is quick, well aware of Porrini and Sheegog. I think at this point no goes unnoticed especially coming off the bench, no one, no more taken for granted. Saturday should be rockin' !!!!! Watch out for the GOLD & WHITE!!!!

I think this team plays to their level of competition. I think we will see a different Massillon team on Saturday night. The only thing I'm worried about is trying to beat a good team twice in the same season! Good Luck Tigers!!!

I don't think so but I could be wrong. I do remember that Youngstown played without their best player when we beat them though. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.
Anyhow, I agree with Mass6. I think we will see our guys rise to the occasion Saturday night and give it their best effort:rockon:
:gotigers: BEAT Warren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll be at the game taking a look at the Tigers tomorrow...after I cheer on my alma mater (Canton McKinley) against Perry tonight.
But on to the Warren Harding-Massillon game. It will be a fast, hard, and physical game. Both teams are very physical and boy they do not like each other (the brief fracas that happened in the first game proved that).
Massillon used a 15-0 to break the first game open in a 65-50 win. In 2005, the #2 state-ranked Raiders downed the Tigers in a sectional final and I know that will be in the minds of the Tigers when they take the floor.
Both teams have to find a way to keep their composure. Pride will be on the line, especially this being the second meeting. The team that knows who to turn to when times are against them will come out with a win!
I'm pulling for the Tigers. It's a step closer to a potential Canton McKinley-Massillon district championship game rematch.

Didn't Warren have a key player out when we played them ??
6'8'' Damian Eargle sat out the 1st quarter but played the final 3 quarters. He finished with 19pts. and 15 rebounds.
One thing to keep an eye on is if Sophomore Sheldon Brogdon can get going for Harding. Harding has the size advantage on the inside so Eargle and Henderson should get their numbers. Brogdon, who's Harding's 2nd leading scorer, was held to 2pts. the 1st game.

RAIDER,
Henderson and Eargle are inside threats for the Raiders. Warren Harding must avoid long stretches without a shot. That proved to be costly in the fourth quarter of their loss to the Tigers.

Everybody has "bad games" (Harding- Massillon, Massillon- Boardman). and these two teams are no exception. With that being said, whenever these two schools meet in anything, you can expect to get your money's worth. I can't wait for tomorrow night!

I was wondering when you would be back worm!!!! You are right when you say that we'll both get our money's worth. These two teams are so athletic that it makes for a very interesting game. You can throw out that regular season meeting too, as this is tourney time. The game in the regular season was closer than the score showed and I think both teams have improved. Sorry worm, but I still think the Tigers win this one in a close one.

It's going to be interesting to say the very least. Harding has to come out fast because it's very difficult to make a comeback on Massillon because they constantly attack the basket, which was the case in the regular season. See you in Canton tomorrow!

What's the price of admission?
Mass6
03-02-2007, 07:43 PM
I believe it is $6.00 to get in, but I'm not 100% sure. I think you're right Worm when you talk about getting out of the gates early, but for both teams. Shooting can be streaky at times for the Tigers, but if Gamble and Porrini can come out hot, and JT can somewhat establish himself against those trees that you guys have, the Tigers will be tough to handle. However, if they come out cold and Warren gets easy inside buckets, it could be a long night for the Tigers.

Tough loss. Sounds like the shots just weren't falling. Tough way for Mike to go out. Congrats on a great season though.
Warren1st and Worm, how does Warren do from here on out?

If Warren's two big men are on their game like they were last night, I see them winning this district. I think they will be giving Koufas all he can handle.
If they get past GO, I don't see either Hoover or Perry stopping them.

Not a chance !!! Warren is a good team, but GO has a pretty complete team.

It is unconceivable that Glen Oak does not win this division. Having said that, anything can happen on any given night in basketball, just like football. (ughh, that reminds me of Warren's student section near the end of the game Sat. night:crap:) I don't see anybody stopping them until they run into a team like Solon or St. Ed's.

Have you seen GlenOak play this year ?? Keno would say , "They are peaking at the right time !! ".
They really would be a very good team without Koufos. They have the complete package !

I've seen them. No doubt they're solid. But they shouldn't be handed that championship trophy yet.

I think Warrens twin towers will give Koufas all he can handle. This may be the first game all year that he will be challenged. I am looking forward to this game.

That would be a bad strategy to double the big guy. Too many other weapons. Warrens big guys don't have the girth to slow down Koufos.
GlenOak will come out of Canton with the trophy. How well they fair after that, would be pure speculation.

I TOLD YOU SO!!! GlenOak was destined to get out of Canton. LTFT, are you convinced yet ???
The BIG MAN vs BIG MAN contest, wasn't. Frease is NO WHERE NEAR the player that Koufos is. We are fortunate that he will be a BUCKEYE !!!

Ladies and gentlemen,
The vaunted GlenOak Eagles under the lead of head coach Jack Greynolds Jr. have just hit their peak.
Perry and Kenny Frease will learn from this bitter taste of defeat and be an even better team in 2007-08.
