Will we be putting on our standard "Greatest Show In High School Football" or will we have to water it down like we do when we host a "home" playoff game?

If Chandler doesn't bring their band, I'd think the event organizers would want a full show from the MTSB, maybe longer.

They are bringing the band. I'm talking having a live mascot on the field. Taking the field prior to the game the way we normally do. The TD bombs.......They take all that stuff away during a "home" playoff game. Just wondering if we will be running at full throttle that night? I'm sure we will be but I'm just wondering if anyone knows for sure................

I say we go for it. We'll give those AZ guys a game they'll never forget. What are they going to do, take the games away next year?

Can't go into details where I heard it, but I overheard a conversation between two people that deal with that stuff that because we were considered the "away" team for the Herbie that they wouldn't be doing the booms that week.....GT1 I hope you're the one that's right.

We should have put in the contract that we would be the Home Team.

Gonna be a big production with both teams coming out of tunnel and smoke.
The games next year will be at Fawcett. They couldn't schedule them there this year so we were the backup. Will be perminately at Fawcett during Week2 of the season.
Tiger Swing Band will have pregame and half time. Hamilton will have a large band for half time also.

The bad thing is for it getting a lot of support from the NFL the drip is a crap hole.....the seating breakdown is a joke.....seat number 1 in the middle of a row. Last year the ushers couldn't even find my seats for the HOF game because down by the goalline on the pressbox side there is a sections that is a portion of each corner....what a joke...not to mention the beautiful bathrooms!

I agree with your question. However from a Herbstreit perspective, seating capacity is probably what they're looking at there.

I "double agree" ! PBTS is by far the superior facility and the parking situation over there is lame. I wonder how many Cantonians will actually purchase 13 dollar tickets and support this event? The extra seating probably won't be necessary:blah: I'm sure the NFL and/or the HOF has some kind of influence here, thinking about attracting more visitors and revenue next door to the Hall. Otherwise, you'd think that they would wait and see how it turns out here in Massillon this year before making that decision.

I agree. Especially with the restrooms. We were at the East/West game on the north side and they were still terrible.
And -- the PA system is a piece of junk. You cannot hear it all over the stadium.
Oh yeah, and their "beautiful" parking lot. http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/tongue0019.gif
Give me Paul Brown Tiger Stadium any day -- can’t beat it.http://www.thesmilies.com/smilies/happy/veryhappy.gif

It's a done deal and its mostly because of capacity, double video scoreboards and the HOF. Personally, I like PBTS over Fawcett, but it is lacking in those three key components. BTW, Dix Stadium was the "backup" but because of sponsor conflicts and videoboard problems, was nixed. PBTS was the third choice.
I'm looking forward to spending my day and money in Massillon. Just don't break my taillight.
