I have spoken with Coach Stacy and hopefully Massillon will have some teaching openings that I can apply for. I plan on applying all around the area and hopefully I can land something. I will be substituting for the rest of the year and hopefully I can meet some principals and make an impression. I would love to coach in Massillon and I don't care what level or gender. I just want to be part of the Tigertown tradition!!!!!

I have mixed emotions on this as you know Hack, but welcome home. I have never known anyone that it killed as much as being away from Massillon as you. For anyone who wants to know what a Tiger is, look no further than Hack. I have listened to this boy for 11 years talk about how much he missed Massillon and that includes when he played in the Big 10. If anyone deserves to be back home, working in the Massillon City Schools and coaching and making an impression on the youth of Massillon it is you....I just hope that the powers-that-be make the right choice. If Massillon and Mogadore were just 30-60 miles west!

I remember the great feeling of moving back HOME to MASSILLON after living in Denver and then Cleveland for a couple of years. I love this town!

And yes, the first thing I HAD to have when we got back was a Kraus's pizza.

Welcome back!

Welcome back!

When I lived in Florida and would fly home, first call I made was to Kraus' to order a double crust and then my parents to let them know I had landed.

Hey all! I am 1992 grad of whs! I played baseball. I wore number 13. I wish not to reveal my name but I was a lefty! I am looking to get in touch with some of my old friends and team mates. My email is bob_lora_alex@bellsouth.net.

Whats up buddy? If this is who I think it is, it has been years! I thought you had a coaching job out in Texas? Anyhow.. it is great that you are moving back! I moved back to North Carolina last summer but I get back to Massillon to visit my family and of course to watch the "important" games that the football team plays! Anyhow.. If your wondering who this is I played baseball with you my whole life. You were the greatest center fielder Massillon has ever seen! You, Matty, Merchant, And I made a heck of a team. I cherish those times bro! Give me a holler bob_lora_alex@bellsouth.net!

Nothing against our man Hack, but son this is just a ludicrous statement. You might want to ask some teachers there about a center fielder whose son plays football and goes by his initials. Geez Louise.

We can debate this all day and year long, just like every other "best" thread we've ever had........OR we can say WELCOME HOME HACKENBRACHT FAMILY, I believe the first wave of the Hack clan rolled in around 2:00 yesterday in a big moving truck, the 2nd wave rolled in later in the afternoon via air travel..........the next question is do they visit SportsStuff or Howards Tiger Rags for some new Orange outfits.

Geez Louise, CarlE! Don't go scaring off new posters right off the bat!:jestera: I am glad to hear you say "it was taken care of", in a good way I hope! Afterall, the guy is entitled to his opinion, and in all fairness, were you around to watch their team play in order to make a fair comparison? I am sure that there are others before you played as well that feel they can boast the "best of" whatever also. But you probably didn't see them play nor vice versa. LOL, first thing I see on here this morning is CarlE riling things up with the newbies!

WELCOME HOME HACKENBRACH FAMILY!

Im going to Beech Mountain this summer, and want to go to Biltmore while there.....maybe you guys can give me some directions and ideas of places to visit.

I own a house there, right on Beech Mountain Parkway. 1/3 of a mile from the ski lifts. The Biltmore is about 1.5 hours away and is just an unbelievable tour. We went during Christmas while it was all decorated. My son counted 38 bathrooms and may have missed some. I heard it is also gorgeous in the summer with all the flowers and foliage. Lots of hiking, golf, lakes, and anything else you would want there. House is also for rent if you don't have a place to stay.

My wife and I like to go to the Biltmore in the late Spring. That is when the gardens are at there best. Also, pay the extra money and get the behind the scenes tour. I would recommend the winery tour too. Free samples, yum!! If you are on vacation, the hotel on the Biltmore property is a very nice place for you and the mrs. Chimney Rock is about an hour or south of Biltmore. We go there about once a month. Very nice. The Chimney Rock area (Lake Lure) is where they filmed Dirty Dancing and The Last Of The Mohicans. FYI. I Have property in the Smoky Mountains (Gatlinburg) if your interested in rental also. We travel the mountains all the time!

We have wanted to go there for years and figured since we were going to be close, better take the opportunity. Ive heard the behind the scenes tour was the way to go so I'll take that suggestion. How long of a drive from Massillon is it going to be to Beech Mountain ?

We toured The Biltmore last January and it was very nice. I can't imagine how nice it would be in the summer. The "behind the scenes" tour is definitely the way to go, then top it off with a few samples in the winery. The Biltmore Reisling is the bomb!
