I always thought she was very pretty back when she was modeling for Guess and Playboy in the 90's. Although, lately, she had been looking pretty haggard- probably due to everything she'd been through with lawsuits and her son's death and her baby girl's paternity issue. Going through all of that couldn't have been easy on anyone- much less someone as troubled as she seemed.

I never really liked Anna Nicole and I thought she was too over the top. However, I always felt sort of sorry for her, as it seemed like she never could really get a handle on her problems.

I'm sure with her history, that her death today was drug related. Although, with the way her weight had fluctuated back and forth over the past few years, and the fact that she have been using diet supplements like TrimSpa, it could have been something related to her heart. Gaining and losing large amounts of weight several times like she did over the course of her life can cause stress on one's heart and weaken it.

I feel badly for her little baby girl, who will have to grow up without her mom. That's something no child should have to go through. And no matter what your personal opinion was of Anna, and whether or not you think she was a good parent, I'm sure her daughter would have liked to at least have had the chance to know her.

At least she still has her father around to raise her- if Anna's sleazy attorney/boyfriend would back off and quit claiming to be her father.

The whole thing is actually pretty sad.

I saw a press conference yesterday on CNN that said the autopsy found that there was nothing in her stomach, so I think a drug overdose is pretty much ruled out, as the medical examiner on TV said they would have found pills and pill residue in her stomach.

It's kind of weird how much this finding resembles the death of Marilyn Monroe. Which is even more eerie, as Smith was reported to idolized Monroe, who died at age 36 from a "probable" suicide, but who's actual cause of death is still in question by some even today.

I read that. They said they must wait to get the toxicology reports back for them to completely rule out suicide.

However, if she did commit suicide, she's got to be one of the most selfish people I've heard of. For her to kill herself when she was the sole custodian (at least she was at the time of her death) of a helpless infant- an infant whom Anna Nicole HAD to know would end up being in a legal tug-of-war if Anna Nicole were out of the picture- is just disgusting.

I can't imagine anyone being so heartless and selfish as to kill themselves and leave her baby daughter alone, to be fought over in courts, and to never have the chance to know her mother. It's one of the most cruel things I think you could do to a child. Not that Anna Nicole was probably the best mother in the world, but I'm sure she had a nanny to help her with the day to day of raising a child. But ever so, I'm sure the little girl would have liked to at least have had the chance to know her mother.

What that baby needs is someone to look out for HER rights and HER best interests, and I really don't think any of the 3 men who are claiming to be her father are too worried about that. I think they're more interested in the money that Dannielynn stands to inherit should Anna Nicole's case against the estate of her dead husband, J. Howard Marshall, go her way and Anna Nicole's estate gets the money.

As Anna Nicole's sole heir, Dannielynn would get all of the money, and whomever is her biological father would more than likely be the executor of the money. As scatter-brained as Anna Nicole was, I doubt she had a will- and who really thinks they need one at age 39 anyways?

So there more than likely isn't anyone trustworthy set up already per a will to watch out for that baby- especially as the baby was only born 5 months ago and nobody may have thought to change the will to include a situation like the one that has occurred with Anna Nicole's death.

I agree- once you have kids, you should also have a will.

And like I mentioned before, she was obviously not the best mother in the world. But I'm sure she would have looked out for her daughter's interests a little more than some guy who maybe had an affair with her which happened to result in a baby.

I think the guys who she associated with were with her because of who she was and what she stood to win in the court battle, not because they really cared about her. And it makes me think they would be the same with her little girl- only in it for the money.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- Anna Nicole Smith said in a 2001 will that her estate should be given to her longtime companion to hold in trust for her son, who has died, according to a copy released Friday.

The document said Howard K. Stern should hold the former Playboy playmate's estate should be held in trust for her son, Daniel, who died last year, three days after Smith gave birth to a daughter.

"I have intentionally omitted to provide for my spouse and other heirs, including future spouses and children and other descendants now living and those hereafter born or adopted," Smith said in the will.
