Coach fired by Nebraska after going 58-19 sparks revival of Ohio University's football program

Athens, Ohio - Ohio University's Peden Stadium sits right off Highway 682, about the only beauty being the gently rolling green hills of the surrounding southeast Ohio countryside.

The stadium, built in 1929, still seats only 24,000 and inside, the football offices look as industrial as a hospital ward. Few football mementos dot the hallways. Then again, in Ohio football's 110-year history there hasn't been much worth remembering.......................

One of the QB's at Ohio , just transferred to John Carrol. Don't know what class he is in, but I believe he's from Mentor Lake Catholic.

I was surprised when I heard Solich took the Ohio U job, straight from coming from Nebraska. He might really have something to prove. The Ohio MAC schools will always be known as the "second fiddle to Ohio State" but the overall quality of the programs has improved in recent years. I keep waiting for the Kent State football squad to do something worth noting.
