With his history, maybe the Bungals would be a better fit !!

I would take Mike Doss in a second. Coming off an injury, I bet the Browns could get him much cheaper as well.

I think he deserves an opertunity although I still would have chosen Ellery Moore for my team anyday.

I love the physical play of Mike Doss and would bring a toughness to the Browns which we all know besides #26--Clevelands Db's are not good at tackling or cover skills. Doss lacks true FS speed (position he was swithched to at Indy)but would be great at his natural position of SS

Time for me to petition for Mike Doss' arrival to Dennis Miller's hometown of Pittsburgh and get him in a Steelers jersey before the Cleveland Browns get to him!

Now I would SERIOUSLY love that!

Palmalu(sp)--- one of top 3 SS in the NFL---- they would not even entertain the thought of signing Doss unless he wantsto be a career back up!!

I wouldn't mind having Doss......A healthy Doss!

You guys are going to kill me on this...but I don't think adding Doss to the Browns will help. We already have Sean Jones at safety who finally starting playing well last year. Not that we don't need depth, but I don't think Doss wants to come in as a backup and won't sign for backup money.

The Browns need blinders on...focusing solely on both lines.

I agree Jones is the best DB the Browns have but adding Doss would be good because he is a leader!

A healthy Doss is better than Jones, imo. I haven't really heard how his recovery is going, however.

I heard he just bought a house in Bexley so hopefully he is recovering nicely and will be 100% for the season. Recovery for an ACL reconstruction is 9 months to a full year--I know I have had 2 of them!!! I hope he comes back strong--after my 1st ACL I was actually faster until I tore the right knee a few years later!

Jones has been a consistant player in secondary!!

Doss is great against the run but suspect against the pass. Jones is decent at both. I don't necessarily think that Doss over Jones is an upgrade for the defense as a whole. Our salary cap money should go to areas with a much more immediate need (OL/DL).

I agree. Still wouldn't mind having Doss though. It's nice to have the local guys.

I thought I heard that a former Buckeye might be signing with the Browns. I think it was a CB, but I can't recall who it was.
