The Maryland Nighthawks of the American Basketball Association introduced their newest player, a man they're touting as the tallest in the history of professional basketball.

I saw a special on this guy on "Real Sports" over the summer. He had a tryout with the Lakers a while ago and was getting pushed around alot for a person with his size. If he works on coordination and agility and gets MEAN--the knock on him thus far then he could be really good! He can shot threes better than some guards in the NBA.

i saw that special on tv as well. when that guy arrived he had the endurance of an obese 90 year old and the vertical of a 10 year old with broken kneecaps. and did you see that guy's feet? he did work hard, though, to get in shape and seems very determined to do well. i hope things work out for him.

Height alone does not make a NBA player. He's 23 and in the ABA after not playing organized ball for six months? He's a project at best. He's just a freak show to help sell tickets.
