COLTS 35-20. Anthony Kevin Dungy wins his first Super Bowl title...once as a Pittsburgh Steeler and now head coach of the Indianapolis Colts!

"The Formula" shows the Bears as big time winners. It was published in the USA Today about 10 or 12 years ago and somebody in the office breaks it out every year and does the math. It factors in about 15 different stats like wins, recent Super Bowl appearances, yards for and against, etc. "The Formula" has only been wrong in picking the winner 5 times in the previous 40 Super Bowls. It also shows that a team getting 35 more "Formula" points is a near lock. It's not a prediction of the score, but "The Formula" came out 70-12 Bears.
All that said, I think this will make the 6th wrong time and the Colts win 34-24.

Roger Budd, myself and a couple of other guys had a system, or "formula" for playing and winning at Blackjack in Atlantic City back in the good old days. You can see where that got us!! Ha Ha. I hadn't heard of this before, Butler. I'll have to look it up and review it.

Wake me up when it's over. This one looks like a snoozer.
Having said that, the best games don't always involve the best teams. Maybe we'll get lucky.

For no reason whatsoever I think it's going to be a Colts blowout. I think Manning is going to light the Bears defense up like the 4th of July. I predict a 38-10 Colts winning. Down here we are ALL pulling for the Colts and Coach Dungy.

TigerCoach,
Let's not be quick to rush things. I have a LONG way to go before I reach that pinnacle :no1: !
By the way, Terrell Davis was the best dressed analyst on the NFL Network during Super Bowl XL coverage last year. I liked how he always referred to Coach Cowher and Dan Rooney as "Mr. Cowher" and "Mr. Rooney."
The best dressed this year was Deion Sanders in a runaway.

With the emphasis that EVERYONE is putting on the whole "BLACK COACH" story, you act as if the black race is inferior, and this helps accolade their progression on the food chain.
PATHETIC !!!
What will the hype be when the first Asian coach wins a super bowl ??
Racism and race supremacy will always exist, when YOU PEOPLE make big deals out of things of this nature.
May the best COACH win !!!
**Up next: STANLEY CUP !! **
Kamd50
02-04-2007, 03:06 PM
It is not about perceiving or implying that the Afro-American race is inferior. The point is that these men of race have made great strides in this profession, especially since the new rulings/efforts that the NFL has made in recent years as far as even hiring head black coaches on a more consistent basis.
Whether you like it or not, it IS history. And there isn't anything negative or racist about it!

I back you greatly on that stance! African-American head coaches are getting their opportunities!

DAWGH8R
02-04-2007, 03:40 PM
The NFL teams that are currently in search of a head coach, MUST interview at least one coach of African descent.
Why not just let them interview the coach that best fits their program, or gives them the best opportunity to win games.
Why not just hire the best coach for the job?? If the coach is Indian,African, Mexican, or Vietnamese, does it REALLY matter ??
I like Tony Dungy A LOT. He is a good coach, and gets results the RIGHT way. I guess I didn't put much stock in his skin color.
Skin color means chit when it comes to head coaches in the NFL. Just ask Oakland and Cleveland !!

does anyone think that the super bowl has progressivley gotten worse? i think that the super bowl half time shows have slowly gotten worse and I don' think the commericals have gotten any better, watching the game and pregame it didn't seem like I was watching a championship game, i wouldn't be surprised if the viewer ship has decreased, thats one reason why I liked watching the super bowl was because of the great pre game and half time entertainment and the commericals but now the only thing that is good about it is the game

I thought the halftime show was one of the best they've had in years. Maybe you're too young to appreciate Prince, but he is awesome. The commercials, I agree, have become so-so in the past couple years, but I don't blame the big companies. Who wants to pay these enourmous amounts of money to advertise for 30 or 60 seconds? Businesses are just wising up!

Indianapolis was the tougher football team than Chicago, hands down. Stinks to be the NFC's #1 seed if you know what I mean (NY Giants, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Seattle) in terms of failure to win the Super Bowl.
Eight out of 10 for the AFC and add the strong Baptist Tony Dungy to that list. Can you believe a Wesleyan, a Christian, and Baptist have won the last three Super Bowls (Belichick-Wesleyan, Cowher-Christian, Dungy-Baptist)?

He's sees how things unfold? Anytime he sees something bad happen in a game he gets that look like "the world is against me" and looks like he is going to cry. If your T.E.O reference is towards Terrel Owens, we have two much different takes on this. TO isnt a crybaby, he is a punk who wants the ball...big difference. You show me a receiver who doesnt want the ball and I will show you a receiver not playing on Sundays. Oh man! Aerosmith SUCKS. The last 15 years of stuff they have put out blows so bad it negates the classic stuff they did. You want them to come out and bust out one of those P***y love songs they have been pumping out the past 15 years? Talk about GAY! I imagine Prince had the thing on his head because of the rain. Crackerman,
Peyton Manning wears his emotions on his sleeve. He plays to win and he wants to win. Look...the facials are his reactions to mistakes. No one likes to make mistakes and Manning is one of them and I like that in a guy like him.
And on Terrell Eldorado Owens......I'll let you deal with that.
But back to Manning, a quarterback has to be able to see the field and know how things unfold. He has had a reputation of doing that and that will not change.
