MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- This time, Troy Smith was smiling after the game. The Ohio State star outplayed Florida's Chris Leak in a rematch of quarterbacks from the national championship game, leading the North to three scores and a 27-0 win over the South in the Senior Bowl on Saturday...

5 - 15 completions is hardly outplaying anyone !
Hopefully his week long practice was better than his game. 10 out of 15 incompletions isn't going to impress many NFL scouts.
In the format they use in the Senior Bowl, the QB's should be able to pick apart defenses.
Very poor showing !!

All of these Senior Bowl-type games are third page news.
The game #'s mean very little for either of them. Their practices and how they handle themselves with the coaches and other players are just as important. Chris Leak had a great in the BCS because Meyer had a great game plan and Ohio State didn't.
The receivers in these games are running basic routes (the DB's have the clear edge) probably with no automatics, QB's are going to lock on receivers earlier, there's little time to develop timing, blah blah blah:zzz:
The next level is it for these guys. It's the combines and then wait for draft day.

Troy "short hopped" a LOT of passes in the game, and seemed to play tentative.
