Who will win and why?I say Perry won't be able to handle the Porrinis,Gamble and others.Without Frease I say Massillon by 10.With Frease(if he comes back)Tigers by 4.

IDK about this game, almost too close to call.I think since massillon plays them at home they should be able to beat them in a CLOSE game. Freethrows are going to be essenital in this game. The panthers will come out ready to go. John Marshall is a good ball player and when left wide open can make some things happen. Look out for former Tiger Greg Fite off the bench. When Perry played Hoover he came of the bench and gave them a spark each time making me wonder why the kid doesn't start.

our guards can controll this game and if they do I see a Tiger victory

Without Frease the Tigers win by double digits....

While it's possible Frease could come back, comments made in the paper lead me to believe they're going to wait a little longer to bring him in. I hope the Tigers turn up the intensity. From what I've seen and read, they're prone to lapses in intensity and turning it over. Go Tigers!

Don't forget that Michael Porrini told Perry fans to "go home" after his game-winning shot last year. Perry fans have not and will not forgive him for that.

The Panthers will definitely be fired up for this game. But take the Tigers...they are playing at a high level right now.

Yeah well, he should have told them to "go home" after all the garbage they talked the entire game.

Without Frease, we will smother them and win decisively.

Perry students and their fans do a lot of trash talking. Last year especially. MP shut them down. The Tigers will prevail again this year.

GO TIGERS

Greg Fite was starting for Perry a few weeks ago (Jackson & St. Thomas games). He seems to be the "go to guy" when things are tight, and he plays as the point guard, distributing the ball if he can't drive. The Tigers defense wil be much quicker and stronger than what he is used to, and effectively will shut down Perry. They don't like to run, so I see the Tigers in an easy victory here.

Rob Toth was at the Mass - Glen Oak game, so he got a first hand look at how we will defend the big man.
I think this will be a low scoring game, but the Tigers will prevail as long as MP and BG stay out of fould trouble.

I think it will be a tough game. I'll go with Massillon by 3.

A high scoring affair will play right into Massillon's hands.

Oh...and MTown...you know how many catcalls I got from Perry fans over that one game? Man...with the way he (Porrini) told them to go home, he should have been a curfew officer...it was way past the bedtime of the Panthers after that 61-60 heartstopper.

Without Kenny Frease, the Panthers will have to play an almost perfect game to beat the Tigers. Even when the big guy was playing they had a tendancy to make to many turnovers, many of them unforced. They have games where they have been very good and others where they just look out of sinc.

Right now, without Kenny Frease, the Panthers are in the eye of the storm. Their pride is on the line and they gotta know who they can turn to.

But, they are facing a Massillon team that wins by intimidation. When the pressure is on, don't expect the Tigers to back down.

There does not seem to be much trash talking coming from the Perry contingent. I think they learned their lesson after their last football game.

It would be tough for them to play two teams at the same time. I guess that shows how closely I read things. My post should have also had the disclaimer that I read it on yappi.

Good luck Tigers! Your PRIDE is on the line!

Don't EVER forget, that the difference between a TIGER and a panther,
is that the panther hasn't earned its stripes yet!

Kenny played tonight but Perry lost to St-V by a bunch. Should be a good game tomorrow. Go Tigers!

Tiger Bri,

If this becomes a 94-foot game...take the Tigers. Their guard play will be the difference. They will run and wear down Kenny Frease.

You watch.........

Kenny had 11 points and 6 boards in the loss to St. V's last night.

After what I saw last night, even with Frease in the lineup tonight, Perry will still struggle with the Tigers quickness. Kenny will not play 28-30 minutes tonight, more like 20-22. This Perry team, while having better players than in some past years, has a tendency to rush shots, play sloppy defense and make turnovers. Frease obviously helps the cause, but if the other Panthers continue to turn the ball over and not play good defense, they will struggle against very good teams. One big man doesn't make a team and his supporting cast will have to, as Emeril says..."turn it up a notch". I consider Massillon a very good team so draw your own conclusions. Will last years finish give Perry some extra emotions for tonight.....maybe, but that can only carry you so far. I wish I could be there tonight, but have to attend my parents 60th anniversary party this evening. I will have an occasional ear near the radio to check up on things.

The article in the paper had Frease quoted as saying that his wrist is weak. When the players hit his wrist he had a hard time holding onto the ball. Hey Tigers go for the wrist.

Neve expected a Toth coached team to be sloppy.

Watched the replay on TV, and it looked like the rest of the (Perry) team rebounded better than Frease did. We did make it an up and down game, and that seemed to be the difference. Nice going Tigers! Great Win!!

I know Frease may have been a little Rusty, but he has a long way to go to be the kind of player that Koufas is.
I loved it when the Perry students were chanting to Gamble "stick to football"
after he missed a shot. Then BG nailed about three 3 pointers, and the Massillon kids chanted "just like football"....It was great
