First of all, if you have not read the forum rules, please take time to do so now.
For the immediate future, and maybe through the end of the football season, we will no longer be issuing warnings for rules infractions.
Instead, posters violating the rules will be banned for a specific period of time. The duration of the ban could range form 24 hours to a year, depending on the severity of the infraction, and whether or not it is a repeat offense.
(People coming here from other places just to talk trash can expect a permanent ban.)
It is likely that most offenses will result in a ban of from one day to three days.
Examples:
Excessive use of profanity – one day
Flaming or name calling – one day
Posting something negative about the team, coach, band, etc. – three days
Mentioning a student by name and attacking that student's athletic ability, character, personality or family. – a week (or more)
These are examples only.
The actual duration of the ban will be at the sole discretion of the moderator issuing the ban.
