I have heard different days , Does any one know what day the kickoff rally will be held?? Is it Wednesday the 23rd or Thursday the 24th? and what time do the festivites start this year?? :gotigers:

Wednesday August 23rd in Duncan Plaza. The calliope will provide background music from approximately 6:15 PM until the Obie Growl contest begins (approximately 6:45 PM).

I'll be there with my little one...who will be participating in her 1st Growling contest. We've been grooming her for this since the day she was born.

UGH! Here was the moment of truth for my little Growling Tiger. She approached the microphone, and when I asked her "how does a tiger go?", all that she could muster was "NOOOOOOO".

Well, that's alright. She still was the cutest (I'm partial) little Tiger fan in her little cheerleader outfit.

There's always next year...

Oh, and kamd...I don't think I ever got to say thank you for the button. Let me know when the others come in...; that, and I hope you chop my ugly mug out of those pictures that you took. Wouldn't want spoil the picture.

Minus the occasional speaker problems (not much that could be done about that) it was a fun event. It's always cool to see the tiger that close up. Enjoyable for people of all ages.
