I was at the Ali- Wepner fight at the Richfield Colisium- the actual event Stallone used as the basis for Rocky. I remember at the time Wepner really did put in a very inspiring performance. He just kept getting hit but he still kept attacking Ali; a very couragous performance. Wished I'd have wrtitten a screen play about it.

BTW-I went to the fight with a guy from from work who was an Indian Sikh, the ones with the turbans. He got pissed off when I asked him to smuggle a few beers in under his turban (really, it's true).

THUS BEGAN MY LONG DESCENT INTO CULTURAL INSENSITIVITY.
