I predict he'll rest awhile, go stir crazy, then be back on the sidelines in 2008.
Bill Cowher, the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns?

RAPTOR,
I think your post says it best. I'm going to miss William Laird Cowher. A man of true integrity with a strong Christian belief.
Eight division titles, two AFC championships, a Super Bowl title, a 15-1 regular season in 2004 (16-2 overall)......nothing more you can ask for.
P.S. My top five favorite Cowher moments as lead man of the Steelers:
5. 1994...beating Cleveland THREE times and in 2002, the same trifecta!
4. 2002...winning the AFC North title after a 1-3 start.
3. 2001...dominating Baltimore 27-10 in AFC Divisional Playoff at Heinz Field
2. (tie) 1995...winning the AFC championship over Indianapolis and 2004, ending New England's 21-game winning streak!
1. 2006...winning Super Bowl XL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MTown,
Could it happen? Who knows...Cowher was on Martin Edward (Marty) Schottenheimer's staff the three times Cleveland lost the AFC championship game to Denver in the late 80's.
The Broncos and head coach Dan Reeves were just better than the Browns during that span.

He's one of the few who can say, "I have enough money. Bye!":tonguewave:

Cowher to "Thug U?" I hope they pay him a ton of money and free up his schedule for all of those court appearances (character witness) he's going to have to make.

I think there is a chance he could end up in Cleveland in 2008.

If the Dolphins are willing to give up the 9th pick in the 2007 draft Cowher
could end up there next year...Wayne Hueizenga has the Jack to make him
the highest paid NFL coach..

I think 2008 will be too soon for hime to come back. I look for him to take 3 or 4 years off then return. And when he does return it wont be in the N.F.L.
I'm guessing he will be at some college near his new home.
